I tossed and turned in my sleep. All that surfaced my thoughts were the images of Hunter and I. They replayed in my mind like an old movie clip. From the time he taught me, well attempted to teach me, how to play the guitar..and the drums..and the tambourine...and the..well the list goes on..but none of the lessons actually ended in success. Then there was the time he saw me cry for the first time, and when I showed him the scars I made upon my skin. That's when he wrote Cry With You the very same night while I was sleeping in his bed and sang it to me when I calmed down a bit. He made me feel less alone. Hunter made me feel safe.

I rolled over to check what time it was. "10:00" the clock read.

I decided to get up and see if anyone was still awake or if i was going to pull yet another all nighter by myself. i tried as best as I could to walk down the stairs but nothing went my way. Each step i took had an eery creek to it. Damn these old houses.

I walked in the kitchen to make myself a small snack of some sort before I went looking for anyone. I was startled to hear Daniel come into the kitchen.

"I'm sorry Melissa i didn't mean to scare you!" he said rubbing my arms a bit.

I flinched with his motions. I hadn't been touched like that by a guy since Hunter was in the picture.

"You alright?" he asked me with a worried look to his face.

"Yeah sorry." i said with a small grin. "is everyone else asleep?" i asked returning to my small snack.

"Uh, I know that Alex and Vay are passed out on the floor, Charlotte's almost there." he laughed stealing one of my crackers and peanut butter. I playfully nudged him and went to the fridge to get a glass of milk.

Daniel and I continued to talk for roughly fifteen minutes more until he had to run to the lou..but promised to be back.

I was alone again with my ongoing thoughts. How I hated this.

**Flashback**

It was the night of Prom for me. Since hunter was two years older than I was, he was over the Prom stage. But that was perfectly fine. Its not like wanted to go anyway.

We were sitting on his couch in his studio that night. I was reading a new novel I had just picked up from the bookstore only a few hours earlier while Hunter, as always, was strumming chords on his guitar. He put his guitar down and inched closer and closer to me, but slowly as well. Soon, I looked up from my book and saw two blue orbs staring at me through its binding.

"Can i help you?" i asked him teasingly.

He took my book from my hands and read the title.

"A Walk to Remember..Whats with girls and Nicholas Sparks?" he said folding the page to where I was.

I sighed at his irrelevant comment.

"His novels are breathtaking stories about love and lust. You should really read one sometime Hunter."

He rolled his eyes and sat next to me now.

This next part gives me chills every time I recall it.

He looked straight into my eyes-I swore i was going to pee my pants-and said,

"Our love is like the wind. You cant see it. But you can feel it."

I burst out laughing. Cheeks red, breathe short.

"SHUT UP. MY MOM WATCHES THAT MOVIE EVERY CHANCE SHE GETS." he puffed tackling me to the ground so we were on top of each other.

"But our love is better than these books." he said placing a soft sweet kiss on my lips.
