EagleFeather walked over to them. Toeter was frozen with fear and disbelief, EagleFeather looked exactly like Tosti but not at all like him. "Is it true?" HawkStar asked with a sullen face. The tabby tom looked up at its leader. 'Yes...', EagleFeather sighs. "But I can explain!" "Try it," said HawkStar. 'I met a cat a few moons ago near the RiverClan border...', EagleFeather began. "I thought she was a RiverClan cat because she smelled like one of them too. Toeter, Tosti, HawkStar, and the rest of the clan listened intently. "We liked each other so we met every night," he said shuffling his paws. "But one night she told me the thing that turned my life upside down, she was expecting my kits!" Said EagleFeather in a trembling voice. "I didn't know what to do so I said I couldn't take care of her and the kits plus the clan, she was furious and super sad." "Y-you just... abandoned us?!" Toeter looked at EagleFeather with disbelief in his eyes. "I'm so sorry... but I couldn't take care of you and the clan." EagleFeather said with panic in his voice. "I will never do such a thing to you again, I swear in my place in StarClan!" "Please give me a chance to make it up!" EagleFeather begged. Toeter noticed that EagleFeather mainly looked at Tosti, but he tried to ignore it even though it hurt him. Toeter and Tosti looked at each other and said almost in unison;' okay...we'll give you a chance to make it up to us." they sighed. 'This is all great and nice, but is EagleFeather still welcome in the clan?', said one of the larger cats. "He must go to great lengths to regain our trust". "EagleFeather... promise you'll be loyal to your Clan from now on, and not do this sort of thing anymore?" said HawkStar, looking serious. "Y-yes my leader, I will never disappoint you and the Clan again." EagleFeather said before bowing his head. "We forgive you this time because so did your sons and you are a good warrior," the leader continued. "The next time there will be a different outcome." He walked to the bottom of the rock and shouted, 'Clan meeting dismissed!' The cats separated almost immediately. A few minutes later, things calmed down in the ravine. "So...," said HawkStar, standing behind them. "I suppose you'll stay here, you've found your father after all." Hooter looked at Tosti for a moment and then nodded. "I'll ask HoneyBlade to give you a tour of the camp," HawkStar said then. "This is your new home!"

During the tour he had asked so many questions of HawkStar that almost immediately after it was finished he went to his nest to sleep. Toeter and Tosti had started to play excitedly and race around the camp. They couldn't believe they had already found their father. It was all done so quickly, one day they were living with their mother, the other day they're here! In this amazing place! 'I'm tired... can we go to sleep Toeter?', Tosti interrupted his thoughts. 'Sure, I'm pretty tired too,' said Toeter, yawning. They walked together to the den called the apprentice den, which had nests of moss and ferns all over it. Toeter plopped down on one of the nests and closed his eyes. "Good night..." murmured Toeter.

The next morning, Toeter woke up to discussing cats around the big rock. He got up and walked out, apparently they were talking about them again. He walked to a corner of the camp and sat down to listen in. "You can't make this HawkStar!" said the white cat. "They're two spoiled Kittypets!" The hairs on Toeter's neck stood on end in anger. Who dared call him that! He wasn't a lazy Kittypet! "Listen!" HawkStar yelled. 'They are related to EagleFeather, so they will stay.' All the cats were finally quiet. "They'll be trained like all the other kits, they'll be just as good warriors as their father." HawkStar said, wagging his tail. The clan was silent at his words. But you could clearly see from a few cats that they disagreed. 'Toeter! Tosti!' the leader shouted from the rock. Toeter looked at him and nodded. Only now did he notice that Tosti had also woke up and had sat down next to him. He and Tosti walked to the big rock, all the cats parted to let them pass. "Today I'm going to make you apprentices of ThunderClan, so you'll be given a new name too," HawkStar said with a proud look. Toeter got a little anxious because of the words "new name". "Tosti, will you learn and apply all of your mentor's skills?" said HawkStar. Tosti put on a big proud smile next to him. HawkStar looked at him with a serious look. 'Yes, leader, I will never disappoint you!' Tosti said with a proud look. "Then from today on you will be known as... BarkPaw!" said HawkStar, briefly touching Tosti's (BarkPaw) nose. "Your mentor will be OakTwig," HawkStar said, pointing to a brown tabby female. OakTwig had already noticed Toeter because she could often be found with his father. It seemed to him a very friendly and wise cat. Then it was Toeter's turn, he was a little nervous but also very excited. "Toeter, will you copy your mentor's skills and protect the clan at all costs?" HawkStar asked with a proud look. "Yes, leader, even if it costs my life," said Toeter loyally. "Then you will be known as Crowpaw from today," said his sufferer. Toeter was very proud of that name, he thought it was very cool. "Your mentor will be EagleFeather, you should get to know him more and he is a great warrior." Crowpaw was a little shocked, but he understood. Then EagleFeather waved his tail. 'Let's start your training tomorrow, I'll pick you up around sunrise,' said EagleFeather and walked away to OakTwig.
