Chapter 6: The Dream

Crowpaw opened his eyes. As he looked around, he realized he was no longer in the camp. 'Hey? Is anyone there?" he asked softly, taking another good look. He was in a scary dark forest with a silver river running alongside. The river resembled the river that separated ThunderClan from RiverClan. He was startled by a silvery white shadow behind him. CrowPaws spun around at the cat, his hair on end. It was a black and white male who gave him a friendly look. "Calm down, I won't do anything," said the tom with a smile. 'Who are you? Where am I? How did I get here? You look strange, what are you?', the questions rolled from Crowpaw's tongue. "I'm SwanHeart, I'm from StarClan." said the tomcat (SwanHeart) and bowed his head. Crowpaw opened his mouth to introduce himself, but the cat interrupted. 'I know your name Crowpaw, there are important things I have to tell you now...' said SwamHeart and he winked. CrowPaw was in shock now, he couldn't say anything more as the questions raced through his head. 'I have come to warn you CrowPaw, many secrets will be kept from you.' SwanHeart started. 'You have to discover them, it will have serious consequences in the future. No one will be who they say they are.' Crow's Paw listened and tried to store them all in his head. 'Be on your guard, nothing is as it seems, decipher the secrets, there will only be one cat you can trust!', SwanHeart said in a serious voice now. 'I do not understand! What is not what it is! Please explain it to me!' Crowpaw said frustrated. "It's time to go Crowpaw, remember this!" SwanHeart said before fading. 'No wait! Please!' CrowPaw yelled running to SwanHeart but he was already gone. Next to him the river started to swirl and overflow, a big wave was coming towards CrowPaw. He was swallowed by the swirling water. He couldn't breathe, Crowpaw closed his eyes. He woke up in his nest. "What happened?" he wondered, gasping for breath.

He was still trembling and thinking when EagleFeather appeared through the entrance of the PupilDen. "Are you ready for the- WHAT HAPPENED HERE!?" he yelled in surprise. When Crowpaw looked around, he saw that his entire nest was scattered across the floor. "I-I had a nightmare?" he said guiltily. 'You had a NIGHTMARE?', said EagleFeather and hit himself on the head. 'The training is canceled today, we will do it tomorrow, today you are going to think carefully and clean this.' Then he walked away, without saying a word. Crowpaw felt guilty, but still more confused. But wait, hadn't he heard HoneyBlade say something about StarClan?! Before he knew it, he was on his way to her den. If anyone can help me and tell me more about this dream, it's her!
