Betrayal

The girls were excited about their trip that Friday morning. Evelyn didn't mention anything to her sisters about Joey. She didn't want them to get the wrong impression he was just a nice person to talk to. When they arrived in Jamaica that afternoon and as they arrived at the hotel, they were greeted with cocktails, and the staff walked them each to their suites. When Rosa walked into her room, she texted Mike.

"Hey, Mr. Lover boy. I just walked into my suite at the Negril Beach Resort. What are you up to?"

Mike was glad she was okay and couldn't wait to surprise her.

"I'm at work, but have fun, baby."

And that's what she tends to do with her sisters. They all freshened up and met in the lobby. They were all excited about going on a Buggy Sandy adventure. Erica looked at Evelyn with pretty eyes.

"Hey, Eve, try to have fun on this trip; we are in Jamaica, baby."

Evelyn agreed, but she still had things to sort out. The girls had a blast with the jeeps and decided to return to the hotel, shower, and get beach-ready. Evelyn was on her way out the door when she got a text from Joey.

"I hope you are having fun; see you in a few days."

She wanted to hear from Jackson, but she was glad she could hang out with Joey. She had to figure out how she would sneak away from her sisters. The girls went to eat at Ivan's bar and restaurant that night. They had a few shots of Tequila as they ordered dinner. Rosa wanted to take this time to talk to Evelyn about her relationship with Jackson and hopefully open her eyes.

"Today was a fun day bitch, and I so needed this shit. Evelyn, you need to take Jackson out of your head and have fun bitch. I wish you would move on past that dickhead. You deserve better than that, and I hope you just meet someone that sweeps you off your feet."

The girls didn't know that she had already met that person. But she wasn't ready to talk about anything.

She didn't want any pressure from anyone.

"Girl, if you want me to have fun, we definitely can't talk about him." Evelyn annoyingly replied.

Erica looked at Evelyn and decided to tell her.

"If you can't see that man just wants your money, you need to get your eyes checked. I don't need to know him to see it; wake up, sis."

Rosa would never have thought of that, but she agreed with Erica.

"Evelyn, I have been telling you that something is off about him. Please don't trust anyone with your money. That was your mom's life's savings. Just if you are still questioning this relationship, follow your gut." Rosa told her sister.

Evelyn knew her sisters were right, but she needed time to process everything.

"I have been having that feeling for some time now, just keeping it to myself. But let's talk about something else. Let's take a shot and see if we can find some weed on the beach and smoke a blunt."

They all agreed.

The following day, they all ate breakfast together at the hotel restaurant. Erica and Evelyn went to the bathroom when Erica's Cell phone went off, and Jackson called her. She went to answer.

"Hello, Jackson? Hello?"

The person on the other end hung up the phone. Rosa was hoping it wasn't what she was thinking. She wished she was wrong. The girls returned from the bathroom and sat down to eat breakfast as someone came from behind Evelin with some roses. Kissed her on the cheek

"Good morning."

The girls were confused, they didn't know who this man was, but Rosa, for a minute, thought this could have been her sister's way out. So, she didn't mind the stranger at the table holding flowers.
