Chapter 9: Escape

I knoooww I updated this chapter really quick but I couldnt help it, all your comments are so motivating and im really excited to continue this story. Im so thankful to each of you for the support <3 This chapter is much longer than I usually prefer, I like keeping them similar lengths but I hope its okay ༼ ༎ຶ ᆺ ༎ຶ༽ dis chapter is also a little sad BUT DONT WORRY GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO WAIT

"Come in!" You said hesitantly. To your surprise captain Bazz opened the door.

"Pardon my intrusion (Y/n). I was sent to ask you a few questions to see if you knew anything about the person who has been sneaking into the prince's room."

You gulped. "I-I.." You sat there completely still contemplating if you should admit everything that has happened and accept the consequences of your actions. You didn't have bad intentions behind what you did but you knew it was unforgivable.

"I don't know.. I didn't see anything." You sighed. The guilt started welling in your chest but you couldn't get yourself to be honest about what had happened. "Maybe it was just a misunderstanding?" You stated.

Captain Bazz shook his head, "Im not so certain about that. Theres been quite a bit of evidence leading up to this claim. No worries though we will get it figured out soon enough. Now if you don't mind i'm going to excuse myself and head back upstairs. If you see anything suspicious dont hesitiate to let me or the prince know!" Captain Bazz smiled as he walked out of your room.

Your anxiety started getting worse and worse as you kept thinking what would happen if they found out you were the person in Prince Sidons room. You couldn't bare the though of the Prince disliking you. You quickly grabbed the rest of your things and walked over to Links room.

You started pounding on his door.

Link opens the door in a panic, "Goddess! What is the problem? You scared the living daylights out of me!"

You pushed past him with your stuff, "I would really appreciate it if we started our travels back home tonight." You said.

Link narrowed his eyebrows, "What is going on? Why the sudden rush to leave? I mean.. we can go but you know how crazy the night gets out in the field."

You started to think of a potential excuse to leave the domain early, "I just have been really homesick and been wanting to start crafting my new armor so I can start fighting again!"

Link stopped folding his clothes and raised an eyebrow, "Crafting new armor..? I thought after the fight with Ganon you were going to be taking a break from the frontlines for a little. Don't you think its a little rushed for you to start going out to fight again?"

"Don't worry, i'm sure with a few weeks of consistent training I can get back into the shape I was before." You shrugged.

"Hmm.. Alright but maybe we can do the training together? I wouldn't want you facing another lethal injury while nobody is around. Your body cant handle that sort of thing right now." Link said with concern.

You gave him a pat on the shoulder, "Don't worry. I'll make sure to take care of myself. As for right now I would really like to start heading back home as soon as we can. I've been pretty eager to get back."

"Alright, I'll finish packing up my stuff then we can say our farewells and start heading home tonight. Just promise me that if we get in any serious danger you will run and get help rather than fight." Link begged.
