Chapter 14: Surprise!

"W-WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN SIDON'S ROOM?" Vale yelled.

You and Sidon both backed up in shock seeing Vale standing there.

Sidon cleared his throat and collected his composure. "Vale, there is no reason for you to be yelling like that.. (Y/N) was simply in my room because this is where she was put after I found her unconcious." Sidon stated. 

Vale rolled her eyes and grabbed Sidons arm, she began walking with him to the throne room. "Well I just didn't want a Hylian like that tainting the beautiful aroma of your room." She whined.

You shook your head as you walked behind them. You got struck with jealousy seeing them walk arm and arm together but you knew there was nothing you could do. Vale turned back and smirked at your face of disapproval. You got increasingly frustrated as she teased you and got closer to Sidon in the process.

"The King had some very important news he wanted to chat about when we all get to the throne room." Vale giggled. She completely turned her head to look at you while grasping Sidons arm harder. "As unfortunate as it is that you got in such a bad accident, I'm happy that you're able to be here for the king's announcement today." Sidon looked at her rather confused, and suddenly you had a horrible feeling in your chest.

"Yeah me too.." You mumbled. You continued to trail along and soon enough you guys were in front of the throne room. Sidon wiggled his way out of Vale's grasp and opened the doors. King Dorephan was sitting there, large as ever chatting with Captain Bazz. You three walked in and Vale immediately changed her tone of voice and attitude. "Good afternoon King! An honor as usual." She exclaimed.

You cringed at the fakeness of her voice. You couldn't believe it was so easy for her to switch from one person to another in a matter of seconds.

"Good afternoon Vale, and my lovely (Y/N), How are you feeling?" King Dorephan asked while smiling at you.

"Good afternoon King Dorephan!" You bowed, "I am doing well, I don't seem to be dealing with any major injuries.. I am sorry for any inconvience I have caused by being reckless and going out into the field before I was ready. It has been so long since I have been able to go out to fight so I couldn't resist the urge." You sighed.

The King let out a hearty laugh, "You have absolutely nothing to apologize for, It doesn't surprise me that it runs in the champions blood to go out and fight. That bravery is in fact what made both you and Link the ones who managed to save Hyrule."

You felt so relieved at his kind words. It was hard not to be frustrated with yourself after everything that happened, but the Zoras really make you feel special no matter what the occasion. You looked up at Sidon and blushed when you saw him grinning at you. You looked away quickly so you wouldn't get too flustered, he made you so nervous it was hard to keep your composure around him.

Vale visibly got irritated when seeing Sidon smiling at you.

The king stood up and you were stunned by his size, It was unreal to see how large he was compared to you, now you knew where Sidon got his size, but even Sidon couldn't compare to the King.

"Come all, to the dining room. I have asked the chef to prepare us a nice dinner this evening!" King Dorephan says as he slowly walks towards the door. 

You weren't sure why but you were feeling incredibly uneasy about something that you couldn't quite put your finger on. While walking towards the dining room captain Bazz caught up to you while you watched Vale and Sidon walk together in front of you.

"How are you, Champion?  We have never had the opportunity to really chat much." Captain Bazz began chatting with you on the way to the dining room. You both made small talk and it surprised you how much you enjoyed his company. Once you all finally made it to the dining room, the King opened the doors and to your surprise the dining hall was completely filled with Zoras. They all turned and began cheering as the King entered the room. As you got to the table, Bazz pulled the chair out for you and sat next to you while Vale and Sidon sat on the other end of the table.
