I dragged them to my house and up to my room saying hi to my mom as we walked in the house.
I closed the door as they sat on my bed.
"What the hell just happened?" Julia said, still in shock.
"I don't even know myself," I said, still trying to process what just happened.
"I think they were fighting for you," Lillian said.
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure they were," Julia added.
"I know that Ryan likes me, but that means Lucas likes me as well," I said, trying to process it.
"So that means Lucas likes me back?" I asked.
"Mhm," Lillian said, smiling at me.
"GIRLS, LUNCH IS READY," my mom said from downstairs.
"Ok mom," I replied.
We went downstairs and my mom made chicken alfredo pasta. I love her food, and so do others since she is a chef. My mom is actually a popular chef in our city.
"Mom, why did you make so much pasta, there are only 4 of us?" I asked, confused.
"Well because Emma and Lucas are coming over," She smiled sweetly. I was in shock.
"Lucas is coming?!"
"Yes, I know you guys are "enemies", but Emma is my friend, so they are coming over," she added.
I looked at the girls and they were looking around, trying not to laugh or make eye contact with me.
"Now go get ready because I want you to look nice," my mom told me, sweetly.
"Okay," I said, sighing.
I went up to my room, put on a flower dress, put my hair up into a bun with two strands in the front, and put on some flats. I went downstairs to show my mom.
"Is this fine?" I asked. "Yes, you look beautiful," she said, smiling.
Lillian and Julia made an excuse and left even when I begged them to stay.
5 minutes later, there was a knock on the door.
"I'll open," I said as my mom was grabbing cups and putting lemonade into them.
I opened and saw Emma in a nice dress and Lucas in a blue plaid dressing shirt.
"Hi, come in," I said, holding the door.
"Well you look lovely, Evie," Emma said politely.
"Thank you, so do you," I smiled. She stepped inside and right behind her was Lucas.
"She isn't lying, you looked nice," he said smiling. "
Well you look nice too, I don't think I have seen you wearing something nice for once," I said, teasing him.
"What do you mean, I always look nice," he said with confidence.
I pointed inside and he walked in.
"You guys are actually getting along for one," Emma said.
"I'm surprised," my mom added.
"Whatever mom, can we eat now?" I asked, trying to switch the topic because then they would ask why we were getting along and what happened.
"Yes, hunny," she said, rolling her eyes while smiling.
"Have a seat everyone," she added.
