"that. was. amazing!" hailee yells at the three of us, sitting on the couch. "you did an amazing job!" jill says, and hailee smiles, making me smile. "anyone wanna get frozen yoghurt?" adam suggests, and we all agree. after a few minutes of packing up and saying goodbye, we head to the car. a few girls were waiting outside, but they weren't waiting outside for us, judging by the shock of their faces. "wait hailee?" one says, and the others turn around. "hey guys!" hailee says, walking next to me. "and y/n?! and adam and jill?!" another one squeals and i smile, waving. "are you guys waiting for someone?" hailee asks, and they nod. "yeah, my dad's taking us all home." a girl says, and hailee smiles. "your concert was amazing, by the way!" another girl says, and hailee laughs, saying thanks. "are you gonna post the photos that y/n took?" "yeah, of course!" hailee replies to the question.
after a few minutes of talk and taking photos, we decided we should probably go. we walk away a few metres, hailee by my side. "i can drive." i say, and hailee smiles, handing me the car keys. i unlock the car, opening the door for hailee. "thank you." she says, getting in. i close the door, heading to the other side. getting in, i start the engine, tapping a few things on the cars GPS. eventually, i start driving out of the stadium's private car park to the nearest yoghurt store.
"can i look at the photos you took?" hailee asks. "wait until we get home, i wanna look at them with you, i'll connect it to my laptop too so i can send it over to my phone." i say, pulling into the carpark. we get out, walking to the store's entrance. i open the door and stand to the side, letting everyone in. "grab 2 and share?" adam suggests, and we agree, taking 2 circular containers. "any flavour you want?" i ask hailee, browsing the options.
we sit in the car, and i turn the car lights on. hailee hands me the yoghurt, and i take a spoon with some candy, eating it before giving it back to her. "this is good, you gotta admit." jill says, smiling. "it is good." hailee says, and i start the car up. "everyone buckled up?" i ask, and everyone buckles up, and i start driving.
10 minutes in, a spoon with yoghurt shows up in front of my mouth, and i lean forward, opening my mouth. once it's in my mouth, hailee pulls the spoon out, putting it back in the cup. "my throat hurts so bad." hailee says. "i wonder why..." jill says, sarcastically. "shut up!" hailee replies, making me smile. "there's water in my bag if you want some." i offer, and she smiles, opening my bag to get the water bottle out.
i sit next to hailee on her bed, putting my laptop on my lap, opening it. "let's see..." i mumble, plugging my camera into my laptop, stretching my legs out. after a few seconds, the photos i took on my camera show up on my laptop. "this is in order, so this is the first one i took." i say, looking at my left to hailee for approval. "that's amazing." she says, staring at the laptop, smiling.i smile too, turning my gaze to the laptop.
"adam's face looks funny here!" hailee says, and we laugh. we hear a knock on the door, and hailee lifts her head off mine, and i stand up from the bed, going to the door. i open it and adam and jill stand there, smiling. "what're you guys doing?" he asks, and i stand to the side, letting them in. "look at hailee's concert photos i took, wanna join?" i say, and they sit on hailee's bed. i close the door, sitting next to hailee again. "we're basically done the concert photos, i still have the vintage one though." i say, reaching down on the floor, getting out the camera. i plug it into my laptop, and after a few seconds, the first photo shows up of hailee and i in the makeup room. i smile, and adam and jill both say 'aww' in unison. hailee giggles, slightly bumping to my left shoulder. "next one." i say, going to the next slide. "look how cute you guys look!" hailee says, looking at the picture of adam and i, me on his back, both of us smiling at the camera. i smile, and adam laughs.
"man, the yoghurt was so good." jill says, as the last photo shows up. it's a selfie in the car, me holding the camera, adam and jill in the back with their yoghurt, hailee next to me, spoon in her mouth, all of us smiling. i smile, airdropping all the photos to my phone, including the ones on my camera. "it's only 10pm!" i say, looking at the time on my phone. "y'know, i have a place in mind i wanna go." hailee says, standing up. "c'mon, let's go." she continues. "right now?" adam asks. "yeah, right now. it's like 10 minutes away now that i think of it." hailee replies, and we stand up. i grab my bag from the floor, putting both my camera in there.
hailee starts to drive out of the carpark, the sky having large quantities of stars. "you sure you know where you're going?" i ask, and hailee nods. 8 minutes later, we arrive on a large, tall hill. "everybody out." hailee says, and we get out of the car, hailee locking it. "look at the view!" she yells, and i smile, looking down at the city and up at the sky. "it's beautiful." jill murmurs, smiling. i twist my backpack around, taking out both my cameras, also taking out an extension lens. "hailee, hold this for a second." i say, handing her the vintage camera. she holds it, waiting for me. i put the extension lens on my camera, handing it to hailee, swapping it for the vintage one. "the lens is good for stars and landscape pictures, take a few pictures." i say, smiling. hailee smiles back, bringing the viewfinder to her eye. she squints to see better, and i aim my vintage camera at her, taking a photo.

i smile, bringing the camera back down. "how do i see the photo?" hailee asks. i stand beside her and press a few buttons, and her photo shows up and we both look at it. "that's awesome, steinfeld." i say. "you think?" she says, looking at me. her nose is almost touching the side of mine, and i nod, still staring at the photo.
"that was fun!" i say, laying back on hailee's bed once we're ready for bed. hailee lays next to me, both of us staring at the ceiling. "beautiful, wasn't it?" yeah, but i know something even more beautiful. i nod, smiling. "oh shit." she says, and i face her. "what?" "we have our flight tomorrow, at 11am." hailee says. i check the time on my phone, the time being just 12am. "it's 12 right now." i say, and hailee groans. "yeah... we should probably head to bed, i'll set an alarm at 6, we still need to pack everything up." i say, setting an alarm at 6am. hailee hums in response, pulling the blanket up to her shoulders. i lay down more, facing hailee. "i'm not bothered to go to the other bed." i say, and hailee faces me. "it's okay." she says, smiling. i close my eyes as hailee turns off the lamp, yawning.
