i lay on the bed next to hailee, facing her. "are you hungry? i can make you something, there isn't much in the hotel room to eat but i can go to the ground level and get you fo-" i ask, placing a hand on her shoulder, but get cut off. "no, it's okay." she says, and i sit up. "are you sure?" i say, and hailee gives me a slight nod. "something's up, hailee. what's wrong?" i whisper, leaning over to her. "nothing's wrong." she says, looking down. "c'mon, h." i say, furrowing my eyebrows. "seriously, y/n. it's nothing." she says, rolling over to switch off the lamp connected on the wall, tucking herself into bed.

i sigh, laying down beside her, facing the ceiling. what's going on with her? maybe she's just nervous for her show tomorrow... i turn my head, frowning slightly as her back is faced to me. i shift my body to the right side, moving closer to hailee, bodies almost touching. i put my hand under the blanket, slowly graze my left hand over hailee's waist, wrapping my arm over her waist. after a few minutes, hailee moves her body, moving closer to me. her back leans against my body, and her hand hovers above mine, and i smile as it settle down above mine. she laces her hand over mine, bringing it to her pillow, resting it there. "don't let go, okay?" she whispers. "i won't, promise." i say, moving every closer to her.

i yawn, opening my eyes. i feel my left hand still laced in hailee's and i smile to myself, slowly sitting up, hand still with hailee. i lean over a bit, seeing hailee still asleep, and i lean down, kissing her cheek. "niall?" she whispers.

my eyes open in shock and i jerk back from her, freezing. what did she just say? "i-it's y/n." i whisper. "niall, stop texting me... i'm sooo done with you." she whispers again. she must be sleep talking... "you cheated on me, that couldn't have been an accident..." she murmurs. oh my god. "i deserve better, niall. i have better." she whispers, and i see a tear roll down her cheek as she turns over to face the ceiling, hands still on her pillow. i frown, leaning towards her. i wipe the tear with my finger, giving her a kiss, before laying back down, arm around hailee.

after about an hour, hailee groans, waking up. i tilt my heead to see her, and her eyes open. "morning." she says, smiling slightly. "morning, hailee." i say. "how long have you been awake?" she asks. "a little more than an hour." i respond, and she turns her head to the opposite side, looking at our hands. "you didn't let go." she says, bringing our hands up. "yeah, kept my promise." i say, and she kisses my hand, smiling. "my hand's sweaty." she says, and i smile. "you can let go." i say, and she let's go, wiping her hands on her shirt.

"can we talk?" i say, and hailee nods. "you- you were talking in your sleep." i say, and hailee raises an eyebrow. "what did i say?" she asks cautiously. "you were talking about... niall." i say softly. her face drops slightly, and i look at the ceiling, adjusting the blanket on top of me. "what did i say?" she asks quietly. "you just said... um, he cheated on you, and you said he's still texting you." i say, and hailee sighs. "i'm sorry, y/n. it's true, he cheated, i moved on, he still texts me, saying it was a mistake to cheat. i swear i moved on y/n, i don't love him anymore. i don't even know if i did..." she explains. "i trust you, hailee. is he bothering you?" i ask. "kinda, but it's okay. it'll eventually die down." "you can block him, you know?" i say. "i know... i don't know if i should. i'd feel bad, but then again it's really getting to me. want to see the messages?" she asks. "if it's 100 percent okay with you." i say, and she nods, getting her phone besides her. "here." she says after tapping a few things. she hands the phone to me, and i take it, reading the messages.
