༄❁༄The young Peirce pushed the giant double door of the manor open, a big smile plastered on her doll like face while doing so
She absolutely loved and enjoyed being outside more than being cooped up inside the giant house the Peirce had. The cool breeze tickling her skin as she marches through the front yard of the manor
Her smile that was stuck on her sweet face since she left the inside if the house grew even more wider as the light wind danced with her (h/l) (h/c)
Sounds of trees rustling through the wind, birds chirping, the sound of the dirt, her softly humming to herself being the only thing that was heard during her short stroll down to town square
As soon as she gets near the town square, the distant voices from people where getting more and more clear every step she takes. A random carriage passing by her indicated that she was close
Suddenly, the view of a busy town came to view as the big, oak trees where replaced by tall, wooden buildings in different shades. Horses pulling their carriages, women chatting with eachother- probably gossiping about god knows what, and children chasing each other through the roads
Salesladies and salesmen where shouting offers at random passersbys, one even approached (Y/n), telling her all about their new sale on their apples and that she'll get one free for this day only to which (Y/n) just politely turned them down
Clutching her basket tightly, she walked through the bustling streets of the town square. While going through the crowd, she accidentally bump into a seemingly drunk man who cursed at her to which (Y/n) wanted to flip him off but he quickly stumbled into another wave of people
She sighed to herself, being obviously annoyed at the drunkard and wanted to absolutely beat him to a pulp but she eventually shrugged it off in no time and continued to swim through the ocean of people
Before she knew it, she was at the front of the post office. (Y/n) smiled but that soon changes instantly turning into a small frown as she looked through the windows and sees a bunch of people inside the post office
'Fuck, I forgot the soldiers are returning tomorrow' she bit the insides of her lip in frustration. Tomorrow was the day the soldiers come back home to their families and homes.
It's been a couple of weeks since the 9 month war between the land of lorien and L'manburg came to an end and now it's expecting that the soldiers who fought and survive in the war wrote back to their loved ones
As (Y/n) marches into the post office, she hears yells and chatter in the building. She walked towards the long line of people waiting as she huffes to herself 'if mother didn't drag me to her talk, I would have turned up here hours before'
To pry herself from boredom, she examine the people around her. Some where crying, possibly happy to know their loved ones are alive, and some getting the unfortunate news.
Her heart crumbled at the sight of people frantically asking the employees behind the counter. From what she could hear, they haven't received their letters yet
Her attention is brought back to the line when she realises that she's almost up
When (Y/n) finally reached the counter, she was greeted by a man with a funny looking reindeer mask covering his whole face except his eyes
