I didn't dare sit in the room during their hot wings challenge since there was a chance Josh would throw up and I'm not too good when others throw up nor did I watch them when the strapped drunk goggles to their faces and attempt to cook for Smashing but, oh boy, I went to the haunted jail. For the longest time, I enjoys episodes of Ghost Adventures and haunted locations altogether which Gaege and I shared with each other so I took the chance to finally go explore a haunted location legally.

Did I want to live in a Ghost Adventures episode that night? Kinda. Was it going to turn out like that? Of course not. It looked like most old buildings from the outside with the bulk of it partially concealed by trees. It was oddly cold once it got dark as we waited for Smarshing and Danny to arrive. As soon as they got their Dose equipped everyone with a mic and handed out ghost detecting devices and started rolling. It was, as usual, mostly improvised and the intro had to be taken at least five times and Mully had to throw in the Law and order theme before they were content with it.

Inside, we met up with the Warden who looked to be in her mid-forties. She was inviting considering she knew we were coming to film. She shared a couple of the stories of people being grabbed and where there were hot spots. All of us listened intently as she spoke even though I was the only one truly listening.

During my freshman year of college, my friends and I made a summer road trip on google sheets with every state and a haunted location we wanted to explore. We set a budget and a time limit and figured out how and when we could do it but, like big plans do, it fell through. This was the closest I was getting to my summer haunted road trip tour.

As soon as she set us free, we made our way to the yard which lead to each cell block which was the perfect opportunity to fuck around. As I looked into rooms and corridors close by the introduced their devices to the camera while Danny ran off to hide in the restroom and put on a latex mask to later jump scare the others. Gaege explained the situation as they set off. I stepped foot into a doorway of in the distance when I started to hear screams. My skin crawled as I turned around to see the flashlight being waved around franticly. "Jesus fucking christ," I said to myself when I saw what was going on. I waited for a minute as they slowly caught up. The place I was in was a cylindrical room that had facts about the gaol. They took the opportunity to use the hollow acoustics of the room to mimic the Halo theme.

When kept going and I fell a bit behind the group taking in the haunting structure that engulfed us. "Are you spooked yet?" Gaege asked as he fell into step with me.

"Not yet but it's really cool," I answered. We came to a door with a sign that read 'Remand. Cells and display which meant we had come upon the first cell block of many. The sight of the long hallway with a singular fluorescent light at the other end send chills through all of us. When we entered, they started to mess with the spirit box as the huddled in a circle. Gaege walked off further into the room. "What are you doing?" I asked as he passed by me.

"having a Zach slash law and order moment." He got to a spot in the room and started his monologue.

"Wait," Mully said after, "I know something that will make it better." He immediately pulled out his phone and started to search something. When he found what he was looking for he instructed Gaege to go again and played the sound.

"You're not helping," Josh spoke and we all began to laugh.

"Dude, that is good," Gaege said as he snickered. They started to play around as they always do. As I ignored their obnoxious play, I conducted my own investigation in my head entering into each cell and silently played it all out in my head. I asked questions without speaking words and drowned out their noises to hopefully feel something; hear something. Through their ruckus, i felt like I could hear a pen drop and I thought I did.
