The Devil's Angel (Part 1)

Meeting him as CEO

Tara Pov:

         It's been 2 weeks I am working in Z.L Company. I love the nature of work. Everyone says the Finance department will be under pressure all the time. They are poor creatures. I too think the same. But when working here it feels like it's nothing.

My team is the best. They will work like a horse and also at the same time we will be having fun. They help me with my work. I will be asking lots of doubts. Sometimes I feel that I am the noisier one.

They don't hesitate to teach me. We all have our coffee break in the canteen. I got many friends but one girl is close to me. Her name is Mahima. She is pure Indian. Her family settled here.

She is not available when I join here. When she joins back, I don't know when we became this close. I love to talk with her. It's like my Indian family is with me.

"Here is your coffee" she kept the coffee on the table.

"Thank you Mahi," I said and she smiles at me.

We are looking at the headlines of world news. The headlines say that the cops have found the corpse near the alley. I turned my face as soon as I see the body. It was ruined badly.

"OMG, The person who did this must be cruel and heartless. How can they kill a human like this?" I asked

"Everyone knows who did this. But they can't do anything to that person" one of my team members said

I asked, "Who did this?"

"It's Lucifer the devil. He is the Mafia king of Russia" when he declares his name my body shivers. Only hearing his name made my body goes stiff. Oh my, I should not cross my path with him. God, he is such a cold-hearted person.

Our manager came there and joins us in the break. He said "Guys we have a meeting with the CEO after lunch, be prepared"

"Is he here?" one person ask my manage

"Yes, he will be taking care of the business from here for a certain period. Keep the information clear when we explain to him" the Manager said

"Finally we are going to meet him in person. He is my idol you know" said Mahima

"Why? He didn't come here before?" I asked them

"No, he deals all this business from the headquarters. We never saw him in person. If he is here then it must be very important for him" said old lady

"Should I join the meeting Mr. Miller?" I asked him

"Of course, you are also a part of the team. And you are the first interim we hire" Mr. Miller said

"Okay, sure" I nodded.

"Now let's move. We don't have much time. We need to submit the information before the meeting starts" said Mr. Miller

We all resumed our work. Everyone is nervous and they are in some kind of fear. I asked Mahima "Mahi, why does everyone look nervous all of sudden? And the weird part is they are all silent"

"It's because we have a meeting with the big boss. He is so strict and perfect king. Just like that, he will fire a person. He will not see how many years they work here or how they are loyal to him. Nothing" she said

I gulp and did my work in silence. After we all had our lunch and prepared to meet Mr. Perfectionist. We are on the way to the conference room. Ah, I forgot to ask his name. I moved slowly to Mahima and said in a low tone "Mahi, what's our CEO name?"

She looks at me weird "without knowing the CEO name you join to work here. Thank god at least you asked now. His name is 'Zale Lionel Helmer'. Don't forget this"

"Thank you," I said with an awkward smile.

When we enter the room, there is someone whose back is facing us. He is looking outside the window. He has an Aura that everyone will fear. His broad back gives a chill to our bodies.

Everyone took the seat, and the last seat is near the Head chair. And I know who will be sitting here. I look at everyone with my puppy eyes. But, they attack with pleading eyes.

I took my seat near the CEO seat. It's been a minute and No one is talking in this room. Its Pin drop silent. "Sir, E- Everyone is here" my manager shuttered a little due to nervousness.

"Start the meeting," Mr. Helmer said and turned. I look at him casually and back to my notes. Then my head snaps again to look at him. My eyes went wide. I gasped loudly that everyone turned to my side. I closed my mouth with my hand.

He walks toward his chair which is near me and seat there. I was still in shock and looking at him without blinking my eyes. How can I forget those Grey eyes? How is he here? He is the stranger whom I saved right.

He looks at me with those grey eyes and raised his eyebrow. Without saying anything I am just looking at him. It's like my body is frozen.

I felt someone hitting my legs. I came back to sense and look around. Everyone looking at me. I took my hands from my mouth and gave them apological smile. My manager was glaring at me. I look down because of this embarrassing movement.

"Whom are you waiting for? I said to start the meeting" Mr. Helmer said in commenting tone.

"Y-Yes sir," my manager said and started to talk.

But nothing I can hear. I look at him and he is serious in lessoning to what my manager is saying. I rubbed my eyes and look at him. Maybe I am hallucinating. But no, it's him. It's the stranger.

Mahima hit my shoulder with her elbow. I look at her. She glares at me. Oh, okay. I am going overboard. I should behave like a professional. So, I kept all my doubts and thoughts at the back of my mind and concentrated on the meeting.

I have taken notes of a few important points of what they are discussing. Also, I participated in the meeting with my full concentration.

After our meeting is over, we all started to leave the room. When I was about to move we all heard his voice. "Stop, you stay here"

We all turned towards him. "You, stay" he points to me.

"Sir, she is just interim here. If you have doubts I will clear it" Said, my Manager

He didn't say anything but his look gives you all the answer he wants to say. They all left me alone with him. He said "Close the door and take your seat"

I gulped in fear and closed the door. Is he going to fire me? I walked slowly and took my seat.

The devil has successfully lured his angel to him.
