Blank: Hey Mad, Phantom, Mare you three seem so close to each other already. How come?

Mare: We've known each other for a few years now, since we all come from 2015-2018, and Nate and Mat have a good friendship which got us closer.

Phantom: Feel kinda left out for the fact that Mad and Mare are closer than even Mare and I

Mare: That's what you get when you're a bitch at the first meeting

Phantom: I wasn't a bitch!

Mad: Oh you were

Blank: What?

Mad: He insulted me for 'bear bitch' because he was jealous of the flamethrower chainsaw I have

Phantom: I'm over that jealousy now. I got a badass cane

Mad: Good for you

Phantom: Bear bitch

Mare: Phantom come downstairs you little shit Nate made lasagna

Phantom: Coming

Blank: Have a nice dinner

Mad: Bye

Phantom was quick to head downstairs and join Mare and Nate around the dining table.

It has been a few days since Mare's event with Mad, and since then, they haven't really spoken to each other. Of course, they both replied to the group chat, but not really together.

"So how's it going with Jackie, Phan?" Nate asked to try and start a conversation.

"Pretty good." Phantom hummed after swallowing a chomp of food. "He likes my lemon squares, so, that's a good exchange for the choco chip cookies."

"You still gotta make those for us, you know?" Nate commented, but got to his other ego before Phantom could argue. "How about you, Mare? You okay? You've been quiet for a few days now."

Mare looked up when he heard is name, about to stuff lasagna in his mouth, but pausing to speak. "I'm fine... Just- something happened between me and Mad is all."

"Oh?" Nate frowned a bit as he looked at Mare before looking down at his food, eating a bit before continuing. "Matthew had texted me that Mad would be coming over this evening to give back the guitar you left at theirs."

"Wait what-" Mare suddenly stopped eating, staring right in front of him.

"Mad is coming over to bring back the guitar you left at his." Nate repeated. "Please don't bring guitars along with you without telling me, and especially do not leave them at places. My collections are very expensive and I don't want a single guitar from them go missing."

"At what time will he come?" Mare asked, completely ignoring the other part.

Nate thought before answering. "I think Mat said around eight."

Mare looked over at the clock that showed that it was a quarter to eight.
"FUCK!" He yanked himself from his seat and hurried upstairs, just leaving Nate, Phantom, and his unfinished food.

"What?" Nate asked in confusion, looking at the stairs Mare has gone upstairs with.

Phantom chuckled most likely to himself. "Oh... He's so lovesick."

A few minutes later, the doorbell rang, and Mare came rushing back downstairs, immediately going for the front door. Sure, he had started to feel stupid for the risk he had taken, but, like Hell he was going to immediately give up on the friendship he had with Mad.
He basically yanked open the door, surprising Mad a bit.

"Uh... Hi." The MatPat alter ego started. "You left your guitar at my place, so... Here." He explained before handing the guitar over to Mare.

"Oh, thanks." Mare said, trying to play as cool as he could. "Do you wanna come in? Hang out for a bit?"

"Uh, sure." Mad said. His face got a nice shade of pink when Mare grabbed his arm gently and dragged him to the living room (Mad closing the front door behind him), both men sitting down on the couch.

Mare let go of Mad and placed the guitar against the coffee table. He then sighed and dropped his shoulders, looking down at the carpet on the floor. "I was actually wondering if we could... You know, talk?"

"Of course." Mad said, looking at Mare in a way no one could really explain.

Mad tensed up again, sitting on the edge of the couch. He took a deep breath before looking Mad in his eyes. "Look, I'm sorry about what I di-" Before he could finish his sentence, he suddenly felt something press against his lips that avoided him from talking, and Mad was suddenly way too close to him.
He only realised what had happened when Mad backed off again.

"You don't have to apologise for that thing you did." Mad said in a soft voice, smiling a bit. "I.... I honestly didn't mind it..."

Mare stared at Mad for a couple seconds, before slowly asking: "Would you mind if I were to do it again?"

Mad shook his head, getting Mare to lea closer to him, and peck him on his cheek just like he did before with his small confession. Though, not long after, he looked right into Mad's eyes before he closed his and attached his lips to the other's. Mad melted into the kiss quickly and returned it, and wrapped his arms around Mare's neck when he felt him gently hold him by his waist.
They separated again when they heard Nate suddenly shout.

"Aw no, come on man!" He said, lookup for from Phantom's phone, that was in said man's hands, right up at the ego. "You can't do that right now!"

It was just a few seconds later that Mad's phone buzzed, so he went to check it.

Mad sighed with disappointment lacing it.
"Alright, Phan." He stated, standing up from the couch. "You once told me I was weak, right? Shall we see about that about now?"

"I- uh......" Phantom backed off a bit as Mad walked closer to him. "How about no?" He asked with a nervous smile before running off.

Mad chuckled shortly to himself before running off as well, going after Phantom.

Nate scoffed as he went over to the living room. It was just a doorframe between the kitchen and living room, so, it took him just one step, but, he took a few more steps just so he could sit down on the couch, next to Mare.
Said ego looked at him, and Nate could see by the way his mouth twitched, that he could barely hide his smile.
"Don't bother hiding your smile." Nate told him, and just like that, Mare showed a wide smile, and even squealed and did excitement tramping with his feet on the ground, getting Nate to chuckle.

Though, Mare suddenly stopped and quickly turned his head towards his host. "You don't mind, do you?"

"Mind what?" Nate asked.

"Me and... Me and Mad?" Mare said with small hand gestures.

Nate snorted. "What do you think? Of course I don't mind. You know I support."

"Alright." Mare said before giggling to himself, being in his own little lovesick world.
