The faint glittering of Sunrise hit Fay's white and pink fur. Her eyes squinting against the light as she yawned. It was morning. It was her time to do her daily patrol duties. The Sylveon struggled to her paws, shaking her head once she was fully upright.

On her left, Snaggletooth was snoring heavily in his nest that was carefully carved of moss, sticks and feathers. It was a snuggly bed. Fay shifted her eyes to her right. Spark's bed was made of mostly moss and leaves, with sticks holding them together. She purred softly and kneaded her own bed.

It was full of sticks, leaves and little shrub leaves. It gave good support and soft bedding. But she was going off topic, she needed to go on morning patrol with Camilo today. Last time It had been Snaggletooth and Spark who had patrolled.

She headed out of the bracken den. Her eyes glanced around the small campsite. There was no sign of Camilo. But there was a Tree den, where Drizzle was lazily dragging himself out of. Stopping once or twice to yawn. Fay shook her head in amusement at the sleepy Vaporeon

He seemed lazy now, but he was actually quite craftful. "Good morning, Drizzle!" she called in the distance.Drizzle glanced at her and gave a slight nod. His eyes revealed nothing but drowsy intents. Then Fay lifted her head and scented the air. Perhaps she could take a whiff of Camilo and catch up with him. He was a impatient fellow, and would probably leave her behind if she took too long.

Pikachu....berries....Camilo!

She caught his scent. He hadn't walked far, perhaps he wanted her to catch up after all! Without another second to think. She scurried after his smell. She slid through the narrow thorn entrance. Thorns poked at her fur and she winced in pain.  Once she had squeezed out, she picked up her pace.

A blue glow could be seen in the distance. Could it be? Fay crashed into the figure. She was met with swift claws on her shoulder, forcing her onto her back with a whimper. yellow, unfriendly eyes met her blue, startled eyes. And for what seemed like a long moment, they stared at each other.

"Who-Fay?"  the voice slithered, noticing her slashed ear at once.

It was Camilo, his hissy gaze turned into an amused grin. Fay placed her paw on his snout playfully, in response the Umbreon chuckled. He had three, blue glowing freckles below his eyes and above his nose. He was kinda cute.

Fay jumped to her paws when the Umbreon retreated from her, leading the way with his glowing blue rings. Brightening the forest around them. Soon they were talking side by side, it made Fay's feelers tingle nervously. Soon, the morning music of fletchlings could be heard.

"Did you see anything so far?" Fay mumbled, her gaze flickering around her. She was cautious of what was happening around her. Camilo shrugged.

"Nothing besides the cutest Pokemon in the forest." He gave a toothy grin.

"Stop that! You're flattering me!" She blushed, drawing her head back in a giggle. She thought Camilo's flirty remarks were quite flattering, sometimes embarrassing if he did it in front of her den-mates, Spark and Snaggletooth.

But it wasn't much of a bother to Fay. The Sylveon shook her head. She caught whiff of something, a Pikachu! Her stomach gave a low growl of hunger. She had hoped it wasn't loud enough to scare her prey away. She gave Camilo a flick of an ear before crouching. The Umbreon's blue lights grew dim.

Fay squinted her eyes, taking each step with caution. The wind was blowing towards her, masking her scent from the Pikachu. It was yellow with blood-red cheeks. It's tail had a zig-zag pattern which stopped at a heart shape.

It was wearing a pink bow-tie of sort. She didn't think prey would be smart enough to do such a thing. She ignored her thought of confusion, and allowed her ribbon like feelers to waver over it. The Pikachu glanced at the "ribbons", attracted by it's sweet scent. Fay crouched even lower, her muscles twitching. She was ready to pounce at any moment. The Sylveon opened her muzzle slightly, revealing sharp teeth. Waiting to sink into flesh.

Suddenly, she leaped from behind the brushed, claws out. The Pikachu was looking up at her, eyes wide with fear. It was frozen from shock. Fay sank her teeth into their neck.

Crunch!

She lifted her head, panting. A small whimper made her turn. A  yellow figure scurried away into the depths of a burrow. Fresh blood soaked her teeth and muzzle once she turned to face Camilo.

"Nice catch, Pikachu are too fast for me," Camilo admitted, glancing at the carcass dangling from Fay's jaws.

The Sylveon dipped her head, "Thank you, but let's head back to camp for now, Snaggletooth must be starving."

"Ah yknow, Snaggletooth and that big bod of his, eating up everything in his sight!"

"If we don't hurry, maybe we'll be breakfast instead!" Fay expressed with amusement.
