A Spider-Man Story 3

Chapter 4:Sacrifice

Proxima Midnight is standing outside of the police station and she says, "I will kill each and every one of you if you don't get out now. I promise you I will." Jose looks at Alex and says, "What do we do now? Clearly she wants to go out there but why?" Alex looks back towards Cull Obsidian who's still webbed up to the beam knocked out. He says, "Well, we do have one of their soldiers. Maybe Thanos sent her to come get him." James says, "Why would he do that though?" Jose says, "Because he wants them to kill us first." Alex says, "The fact that they haven't yet worries Thanos. He knows how powerful we are but he hasn't seen us work together like this before." James says, "So, you guys think he's been watching you guys and observing you two?" They both nod. The three men hear groaning from behind them. Alex says, "Looks like someone's awake."

    Proxima Midnight is still waiting for the men to come out. She says, "Don't make me come in there. Thanos won't be happy if I kill you." Alex says to Jose, "Did you hear her? Thanos doesn't want us dead." Jose says, "Then what does he want?" Alex shrugs and says, "I don't know. I'll go out to see what she wants." Jose stops him and says, "Please be careful, I don't wanna lose you." Alex chuckles and says, "If you hear fighting kill Cull Obsidian. Don't hold back." Jose says, "Why should we kill him if you fight her?" Alex says, "Because then it'll just be down to Proxima and Ebony to capture us. But I'll talk to her and see what she wants." Alex opens the door slowly. Proxima says, "Which one of you is it?" Alex raises his hands and comes out. He says, "It's me." Proxima smiles and says, "The Spider-Man okay. Where's Cull Obsidian?" Alex looks back through the window and says, "I don't know. I fought him but I'm pretty sure he ran away-" Proxima interrupts him and says, "Don't play dumb with me human. Where is he?" Alex says, "He's inside. Why doesn't Thanos want us dead?" Proxima says, "Because he wants to kill you himself." Alex chuckles and says, "Wow, he's such a gentleman. Is he going to take us out to dinner first?" Proxima smiles and says, "Your humor is hysterical. Why do you cover your fear with humor?"

    Alex looks at her and says, "I didn't know aliens could be therapists. Are you certified?" Proxima spins her spear and says, "No, I'm certified in killing though." He chuckles and says, "So what now? Are you going to kill us?" She shakes her head and says, "No, I just want Cull back." Alex says, "That's not going to happen. We will protect this world from you. You'll have to kill us if you want to conquer this world." She huffs and says, "Well then, so be it." She throws her spear at him and he catches it but the force causes him to go through the door. He says, "James get out of here." Proxima steps into the police station and sees Cull Obsidian webbed up to a beam. She says, "Cull! Get up!" Cull roars and breaks free of the webs. Jose says, "James go!" James pulls out his gun instead and starts shooting Cull Obsidian. Cull looks at James and charges at him. Jose runs towards Cull and punches him causing him to go through the wall. Alex, still having the spear in his hand throws it and webs it to the wall.
    Proxima says, "I don't need my spear to kill you." Alex says, "Okay, we'll see about that." She throws a punch but Alex dodges it and they continue dodging each other's strikes. Alex lands a kick on Proxima and she takes a step back and says, "You are a very skilled striker. But are you skilled enough to kill me?" Alex says, "Are you?" She runs at him, he slides under her, jumps up, webs the floor, and drives himself into her which causes a crack on the floor. Jose gets thrown through a wall but Alex catches him. Jose says, "Thanks man, he's so strong." Alex says, "I know, I took care of Proxima I got Cull okay? You stay here and rest for a while." Cull growls and Alex says, "Come big guy let's go again." They run at each other and Alex lands the first punch. Cull goes through the wall again and groans once he lands on the floor. Alex looks at him and jumps into the room that Cull landed in. Cull starts getting up but Alex knees him in the face. Cull is laying flat on his back and looking up at the ceiling. Alex grabs him and says, "This isn't personal. This is my world and I can't allow you to destroy it while I'm alive." He punches Cull over and over until he sees that Cull isn't moving. He checks for a pulse and sighs.
