25-Trouble II

One week later.....

It's been a week since me and the others have came to Encanto. Raquel had been hanging out and getting closer with Mirabel while Marco and the others talked to the town people. I on the other hand had been spending most of my time with the older, buffer, Madrigal.

"Hey Y/N why don't you come join us?" Raquel calls out to me motioning for me to join her, Mirabel and Luisa

I walk over, "Hey Mirabel, Luisa." I nod smiling at the taller girl

"Hey Y/N!" Mirabel smiles

"Luisa and Mira were just telling me about their family-"

"Mira?" I smirk as Raquel's eyes widen

"M-Mirabel I mean."

"So what about your family?"

"Our mother Julieta can heal you with a meal, Tia Pepa controls the weather with her emotions, Dolores can hear a pin drop, Camilo shapeshifts, Antonio can talk to animals, and Isabela controls plants." Luisa states

"Wow that's a lot." I say my eyes wide

"Wait Mirabel doesn't have a power?" My friends asks looking over at the younger girl

"No but I'm okay with that." Mirabel responds proudly

Raquel traps her in a hug, "At least it means your special among your special family."

The younger girl giggles before returning the hug. Me and Luisa share a look while we observed the scene.

"So uh what's going on here?" I state motioning at the two of them

Both their eyes widen and they quickly separate, "N-Nothing!"

Luisa chuckles crossing her arms over her chest. I discreetly check her out from the corner of my eye but I'm quickly distracted by Mirabel.

"I-I think I hear Tia Pepa calling me. Bye Y/N and Raquel!" She waves before running off

Raquel stutters out her own excuse before following suit, leaving me with Luisa. It's silent for a little bit until Luisa clears her throat making me look at her.

"So um what are you doing later?" She asks once again rubbing the back of her neck

"Nothing much." I shrug, "Why?"

"Well you see, I-well, um-" Luisa stumbles over her words and I honestly found it adorable. She takes a deep breath composing herself, "I wanted to um ask if you'd like to join me for dinner later? At the new restaurant in town. Amal Grill I think it's called?"

"Are you asking me on a date Luisa Madrigal?" I smirk leaning towards her

"N-No, well maybe, if you want it to be-"

"I'd be happy to go on the date with you."

"Really?" She smiles

"Yes."

She scoops me up in a hug, "Thank you, thank you, thank you! Meet me there at 7?"

"I'll be there."

Luisa sets me down with one last thank you before she runs off. I chuckle watching her form disappear from view.

"Welp better get ready.."

Timeskip to the date...

I didn't bother to dress up for the date since, well, I look great. I approach the restaurant 10 minutes early only to find the older Madrigal already there.

"I hope I didn't keep you waiting long?" I ask startling her

"Oh n-no I've only been waiting for a few minutes."
