Anastasia's perspective

My eyes widened as I turned to Claude and called out to him in panic, "Papa! Papa help--!" I just then noticed he didn't make a move from his seat and just switched his stare to me from Athy.

My ears heard the cries and help of Athy before it became silent. The feeling of dread was swallowing me whole. Before I could comprehend what was happening...

I jumped. I fvcking jumped!

I had no other choice. I just hope my swimming ability is not hindered! That fucking bastard won't save her, nor me!

The heaviness that my dress made just helped me go down quicker. I searched for Athy since it was quite dark but I found her silhouette being dragged down deeper in the water. I stretched my arm and hand towards her and tried reaching her.

I was getting closer to her reaching my hand when I felt something wrapped my lower leg. I didn't look back as I just guessed that it was one of the life plant suckers. I was lucky enough to grab a hold of her hand as her eyes that once looked horrified had a sense of relief on it.

I had my grip on her tight as I used my other hand to reach on my right boot. That pocket knife should be... got it! With no further ado, I attacked the creature's tentacle with a slash of my knife. Green slime like blood started filling in as it squirmed away from me.

Me being an idiot panicked as I suddenly opened my mouth, the oxygen I tried to save in my mouth left me breathless.

I can't—breathe!

As I am slowly running out of air, I notice Athy's body halt from her previous efforts of getting away.

No... no, no, NO!

"DON'T YOU DARE DIE ON ME ATHY!"

My vision started getting blurry and dark spots dancing around. How nostalgic...

I died drowning from the past... am I gonna die drowning once more? The irony.

I felt something dragged us up but before I could breathe the air, I blacked out.

3rd Person's Perspective

A splash was heard as the little girl in red dress coughed up the water out of her system. "Oh my word, princess!" Lily cried out in panic when she saw the emperor drop Athanasia. She noticed the other princess was nowhere in sight and panicked more.

"Ana! Princess Ana!" The woman called out once more before stopping when she noticed the emperor who was kneeled down over a lifeless body of the girl she just recently called out.

She turned to the maids and had them assist Athy before immediately running towards Ana. Tears pricked on her eyes as she thought of the worse. With his hand hovering over his daughter's body, he started his magic.

With him wielding his magic, the water that entered Ana's mouth from her drowning came out. It was about a minute before Lily, Felix, and the other maids that were there sighed in relief when they heard the girl gasp and started coughing. They heard her croak, "A-Athy...!"

There was no expression at all in his face as he stood on his ground. Shaking his hands to dry the water off of it. He called Felix and his knight responded, "yes, your majesty?"

"Teach Athanasia how to swim," he demanded, "it would be a shame if one of the emperor's daughters drowned to death in a mere lake." He turned around and told Felix, "also... teach Anastasia how to fight back. Considering she fought the creatures in the lake with only a pocket knife."
