Damon: I definitely don't want to watch Saint Stefan. 

Rose: Don't whine like a baby, Damon! 

[Darren and Brooke are driving in their car through the woods.] 

Damon recognized them. 

DARREN: An hour's drive to hear that crap. You know, it wasn't even a band. A guy with a guitar. An hour each way.  

Simon: They are going to die, right? 

BROOKE: He wasn't that bad. 

DARREN: He sounded like James Blunt. 

BROOKE: What's wrong with that? 

DARREN: We already have a James Blunt. One's all we need. 

BROOKE: So why did you come? 

DARREN: Because I love you. 

Jace: So, a couple. 

BROOKE: Nicely done. What's with all the fog? 

DAMON: That was me. 

DARREN: It'll clear in a second. 

BROOKE: Watch out! 

[They run over a man.] 

They gasped at this scene. 

DARREN: Are you okay? 

BROOKE: We just hit someone! Oh my god! 

DARREN: Call for help. 

BROOKE: Come on, come on! 

DARREN: Please be alive! Oh, my god. 

Damon somehow, found this funny. 

[The man wakes up and bites him in the neck.] 

BROOKE: There's no signal! Darren! Darren? 

[Brooke runs and gets dragged up into the sky.] 

Simon: I predicted it right. 

[TITLE: THE VAMPIRE DIARIES]

[Salvatore Boarding House] 

[Stefan is on the roof.] 

Shadowhunters were shocked to see Stefan in daylight. 

Simon: How are you a daylighter? 

Hope: They have special rings or necklace that enables them to walk in the sun. 

Shadowhunters were a bit shocked by this revelation. 

STEFAN: I shouldn't have come home. I know the risk. But I had no choice. I have to know her. 

Isabelle: Who was the 'she'? 

Elena: It was me. 

[Jumps off roof]

[Elena is writing in her diary.] 

ELENA: Dear diary, today will be different. It has to be. I will smile, and it will be believable. My smile will say "I'm fine, thank you." "Yes, I feel much better." I will no longer be the sad little girl who lost her parents. I will start fresh, be someone new. It's the only way I'll make it through.
