__________
"Alright, is everyone ready?" my best friend Emily asks, grabbing her purse before walking out the door. We're going to some sort of club tonight, and God, I hate it. I tried everything to get out of it, but since I'm having time off from work now, they pushed me into going with them anyway.
I'm just not the kind of person who'd go out every night. I'd rather stay at home, with a bottle of wine and a pizza while watching Disney movies in comfortable clothes instead of spending the night in a dark hall with way too loud music, way too much sweat and way too horny boys around me.
"You um, you look great tonight" my friend Henry, who's also Emily's brother says, looking at me from head to toe while he wraps his arm around me. "Thanks Henry, you look good too" I reply, giving him a smile before getting in the cab.
"Let's go!" Emily cheers, turning on the music as the cab drives over to the club we're going. I sigh, and keep looking out the window. I absolutely fucking hate this.
Last week, my coworkers insisted on giving me time off. A year, to be exact. I was working 7 days a week, for 16-20 hours a day.
It was lot, that's true, but I didn't just want to take time off. I'm a veterinarian, and together with the team, we we're running our clinic in New York.
I'm the CEO there, have been for 5 years. Now that I'm having all this time off, I asked my coworker Andy to do take over. He loved my question, and immediately said yes. It's okay now, I get why they wanted me to get some rest.
We arrive at the club after about 20 minutes of driving, and get out of the cab. There's me, Emily, Sarah, Chloe, Henry and Jake, I really love my friends!
Each one of them, except for me and Sarah, are pretty outgoing. They like parties, getting drunk and things like that.
Sarah and I have known each other since kindergarten, we can tell each other everything. Actually, Emily, Sarah and I are the ones that hang out the most, even though we've known Emily for only 3 years now.
The three of us are really close and talk to each other every day. When we're with the rest of the group, we mostly do things like this, going out to stupid clubs.
We get inside pretty quickly, and sit down at a table. Sarah and I agreed on staying as sober as possible, we don't get drunk easily and still have about 4 people to get to bed tonight.
Sarah, Henry and I stay at the table, while the rest of them is going to the dance floor. After about an hour of talking to each other and watching our friends drunk dancing, we get a little thirsty again.
I stand up to get us a drink, but whrn I finally get to the bar, I realize that I didn't ask them what they want. I look back at our table, and see that they're talking to each other. I start waving at them, trying to get own of them over here.
Chris' POVAfter my friends dragged me into coming with them to this awful night club, we sit down at a table. I fucking hate clubs, I don't like going out at all. I'd rather just be at home, comfy clothes on and a movie playing. Sweat and alcohol? No thank you.
"Come on, let's go dancing!" Lizzie cheers, taking Scarlett with her while I shake my head. I don't feel comfortable at all in here, I can already hear the anxiety attack I'm going to have tonight, calling my name.
"Don't you want to dance? Maybe get a nice girl to dance with you?" Sebastian asks, making me look at him. "No, I think I'm just gonna stay here. But you can go, I don't mind" I reply with a smile, so he nods his head and also walks up to the dance floor with Hemsworth.
I silently sigh, look at the bottle of beer in my hands and try to forget about the music and voices around me. I look up again, and almost stop breathing for a moment.
In front of me, just a few feet away, stands the most beautiful girl I have ever seen in my life. She's looking my way, smiling a little and waving too.
I softly smile at the sight of her, I can't look away anymore. She keeps waving, so I wave back at her once. She stops now, but keeps looking with a little smile.
After only a small moment, she starts waving again, like she wants me to come to her. I point at myself for a second, trying to figure out if she's talking about me, so she smiles brighter and keeps waving. Alright, alright, here we go!
Back to Amelia's POV
I keep waving and smiling at them, but still nothing. I stop waving eventually, and slowly drop my smile. God, I'm feeling anxious already and we've only bene here for about an hour...
"Hi!" I hear, coming from in front of me while I look at my friends. I look up now, and see a beautiful, handsome, muscular man with sparkling eyes standing there, looking right at me.
"Hi!" I giggle, looking back into those beautiful eyes. He asks me something, looking a little nervous. We have to talk really loudly, because of all the music here, but I can't hear him. "I'm sorry? I can't-" I loudly say, pointing at my ear while I slightly frown.
He gets a little closer, bowing down for me to hear him clearer. "You uh, you waved at me, right?" he asks, still loudly but this time, I can hear him.
He backs off again, softly smiling at me but I still frown. I get a little closer to him too, standing on my tippy toes to reach his ear. He bows down again for me to reach him, making me smile.
"What do you mean?" I ask, backing off again to look at his face. "Just now, you waved at me right? I was sitting at that table behind me" the man asks in reply, bowing down again like we do every time now. When he backs up, he points at a table behind ours.
I giggle, and tell him to bow down again. I gently place my hand on his shoulder for support, and make my way to his ear. "Our table is slightly in front of yours, I'm sorry but I was waving at my friends" I nervously tell, hoping that he won't feel bad.
I look up, and see that he's widening his eyes with an awkward little smile on his face. "I am so, so sorry. I thought you waved at me, I'm really sorry for bothering you" he replies to me, taking a little step back after bowing down to talk to me.
"Oh, you're not bothering me at all! I'm really sorry for sending the wrong message, I think I might owe you a new beer" I giggle in his ear, noticing the bottle in his hand.
