"Lanette, get down here this instant. Breakfast is ready." Mom called for me. Pulling on my Pokemon belt and my white and multi colored splattered converse I went into the kitchen. Almost immediately earning a judgmental look from my grandma.
"Now Laney darling, you're a beautiful girl. Why do you need to hide behind all the eyeliner and boy clothes?" She shook her head.
"Batman isn't only for boys, grandma. If you want I can go put on one of my band shirts." I begin to walk away with a smirk when she stops me.
"No, not one of those Devil Worshipers! No honey stay with your Batman shirt." She sighs. "Why can't you be more like Ginny?" My sister grins evilly from where she sat at her throne of high.
"Coz I'm not a boring priss." I pat my siblings perfectly kept hair as my little brother Kyle laughs.
"Lanette Noel Mather, don't make me slap you good with a spoon." Mom threatens from the stove. "Now sit and eat before I go and make due on my word." Mom went back to cooking.
"Take me to school today." Kyle took my Bacon off my plate and handed me his French toast. Being vegetarian in a house with Kyle has its perks.
"Yea.. I'll put the pegs on my bike after breakfast." I pulled my hair into a ponytail.
"Mom Lanette's doing her hair at the table again." Ginny piped up in her annoyingly hick voice.
"Am not." I argued back. "I just slipped it up really quick, so I don't get food in it." I stuck my tongue out at my twin. No one can even tell anymore. I mean she's blonde, tall and preppy, and I'm dark haired, short, and a loner. My younger brother is the only one who gets me, sort of......
"She really wasn't mom. Ginny's just trying to get Laney in trouble." I kiss Kyle's head and place my plate and fork in the sink.
"Thanks for the food, Mama." I go to my room and grab my TARDIS bookbag and the pegs. As soon as I'm done putting them on, Kyle's already hopping on the back of my bike.
"Ready?" I hand him my bag and he nods. "Ok." It takes about ten minutes to bike ride to the middle/elementary school, and maybe fifteen to the high school.
"Hey look it's Loony Laney." A few boys from the football team call after me. I head to my locker where 'DYKE' is scraulled across it again.
"If you guys knew anything about anything, you'd know how offensive that is. Pansexuality is not the same thing as being a lesbian." I grab my books and go to the Library for first period English. I'm a Sophomore and it's hell. Ginny is a Junior but that's only because she's uber smart, and I kinda scare the teachers with my clothing, books, music, and makeup. I have no friends either. Sometimes I wonder why I'm actually still here. Probably for Kyle, he needs me. Ginny is mom's golden child and Kyle and I are dog chow compared. It hurts, it really does.
"Hey Loony, I mean Laney." A girl Mariah Yeater giggles.
"Jokes are a lot funnier if they aren't still used from the 5th grade." I grin up at her as she chuckles.
"Is the little Dyke mad?"
"Not really. Wanna know why? Coz I'm not a self absorbed snob who can't take hits from people whom don't really matter. Also I'm not a lesbian." I reply as I take down notes, cheering inwardly as she walked away confused with my answer. It felt good for a minute but then Teagan decided to speak.
"Ya know, no body wants you around runt. You're Ginny's twin sister and we all know which of you were the planed and which was the unwanted. So why don't you do everyone here and at home a favor and get rid of yourself? Do you really think Kyle wants you either? No. He talurates you so you won't throw a fit." He paused and pulled my hair behind my ear and stroked my neck, "Just die." He slammed my chair forward hard.
I could hear a lot of the kids around the room laughing. Most of them just looked at me sempathicly as the teacher shook his head at me."I'm... " I got up and left.
