—Kira's POV—

I thought of asking Alfonzo about what he meant when he talked about my childhood, but I knew that he wouldn't answer and he'll just tell me that I'll find out later, so I didn't ask him.

"Thank you for letting me know, I guess I gotta go say sorry to Damon" I thanked him in a very thankful tone as he nodded his head with a smile, and then we both went to the living room.

When we entered the living room, Talia was sitting on Damon's lap hugging his neck as if her life depended on it.

"I'm sorry, I didn't know that you were planning to surprise us, I was overwhelmed in thinking how to bring the joyful Talia back and when Dmitri told me you were out and didn't come home yet or called, my mind immediately started thinking of the worst" I said as he smiled and nodded his head.

I went and hugged his right side as Talia was hugging his left, which made her and Dmitri make disgusted faces.

"Eww" They both said at the same time which made us all laugh except the both of them.

After that, we all sat and chatted and had an amazing time, and honestly I never knew that my future in-laws will be this kind, lovely, welcoming, lovable, and heart warming people.

Alfonzo and Pearl are two of the kindest people that I ever met, and even though though I have only met them like 3 or 4 times but I don't know why but I always feel like they're my other parents, like I have known them since the day I was born. Talking to them, seeing them, hugging them, everything felt very normal, and as if I have known them forever and not just 3 weeks ago.

If talking to them is a job then I would win an Oscar because of how amazing it is to talk to them, they don't make you feel uncomfortable or ask any personal questions, they're aren't like any other in-laws; usually the in-laws are very nosy and always wanna know everything about you, ask personal questions, embarrass you, and usually make you uncomfortable, but they are the complete opposite, and actually I couldn't be happier nor could I ask for more.

"I wanna sleepppp" Talia whined as I nodded my head and signaled her to come to me.

She got down from Damon's lap and came lazily towards me as I carried her and put her on my lap as her head dug in the crook of my neck.

I told Damon that we need to go, Talia is sleepy and we have been here for too long, he nodded his head and we all bid our goodbyes and left.

As we were gonna get inside the car, Damon asked about Dmitri and I told him that he's gonna be sleeping at ours tonight, he was definitely surprised but he didn't say anything and just nodded his head.

When we arrived home, Talia was already asleep so Damon had to carry her inside while I got her plushie and her iPad, as Dmitri followed me silently from behind which was bit creepy to be honest, he looked like those thugs who would follow you around and you won't know at which moment they might take out a knife from their socks and stab you with it.

"You go sleep with Talia, she's the one who wanted you sleep here today" I told Dmitri as he looked at me with a resting bitch face, and then he rolled his eyes and then went after Damon into Talia's room.

—Damon's POV—

I was tucking Talia in her bed when I felt a presence behind me but it wasn't Kira, so it was Dmitri for sure.

"Hello" I said as I turned around facing him, he looked at me emotionless.

"Whatever" He said as he rolled his eyes which made my eyebrows crash down.
