"Goddammit.." You muttered profanities to yourself as you bustled from table to table, managing your employees. You rushed from table to table, making sure that the guests needs were being met, and protecting your employees from.. well.. creeps. You hated Sotenbori. It was your cage. A nasty, glittering neon cage filled with drunkard idiots throwing their money at any pleasures they saw. You were mostly worried about (Y/N). A person as lovely as them didn't deserve to be locked in this cage with you. You were Goro Majima, Sotenbori's own Lord of the Night, the manager of the Cabaret Grand. As you were taking care of guests, a familiar voice caught your attention.

"A real jewel of Sotenbori, ain't it, tiger?"

You groaned. You knew that voice that matched up with that shit-eating grin. Sagawa. He was a superior of yours, and he came to pay you a visit.

"How can I help you sir?" You asked reluctantly, knowing this man was bad news.

"Let's go to the back room. We'll talk, tiger." Sagawa sneered.

You and Sagawa quietly excused yourselves and went to the employee office room.

"Honestly tiger, you should be thanking me. You've got everything you could possibly need here. You're successful, the women love you, and you're makin' tons of dough. Speaking of dough.." Sagawa smirked.

"The Grand has been falling on pretty tough times lately. One of our top hostesses called in sick, but I think we should be able to bounce back pretty soon. We have a new employee and-"

Sagawa cut you off.

"You don't need to be so formal with me buddy." Sagawa smirked condescendingly. You growled under your breath. "Do me a favor and light me one." Sagawa pulled out a cigarette. You pulled out your lighter and lit his cigarette. He puffed the smoke directly into your face. You coughed.

"See.. what I'm REALLY interested in this new employee of yours.. I'm surprised how you managed to snag such a gem. You really gotta stop holding out on me tiger." He pat you on the shoulder as you glared at him.

"Look, it ain't really my choice here. They had no other place ta go. They're already on the ground, don't kick em'." You snarled at Sagawa.

"Gee, so vicious. You know your lil' sweetheart's worth moolah. If I were you I'd watch that mouth of yours and listen to what I've got to say, tiger." Sagawa glared at you.

"They're not my-" you became flustered.

"You don't need to hide it from me tiger... I've seen the way you look at them.. the way you've helped them. You're falling for them, aren't you?" Sagawa smirked.

You growled. You both knew he was right. You had been falling for (Y/N) a little bit.

"Listen tiger, if you know what's good for you, you'll forget your little plaything and listen up. I can pull some strings with Shimano and maybe arrange for you to get back into the yakuza. All you gotta do is hand them over. Pretty simple, right? Don't hold out on me tiger.. this is a once in a lifetime opportunity here!" Sagawa stared you in the eyes and smirked. "You might as well hand them over peacefully before one of Shimano's men get to them first. We even have some on the floor right now." Sagawa whispered with a devilish grin.

You stepped back in horror, realizing you had put (Y/N) in danger.

"If you do anything to (Y/N), I'll-"

"Tiger tiger tiger... I think you're forgetting who's in charge here." Sagawa forcefully pushed you against the wall and began to choke you. "Don't step out of line. You're playing with fire here." he grinned deviously.  He released your neck from his surprisingly strong hands as you gasped for air. "I'll be looking forward to your answer. One thing is for certain though. You lovebirds aren't gonna stick together long, so you might as well say your goodbyes now." Sagawa smugly left the room. You frantically left the room, looking around to see if (Y/N) was safe. You kept checking on them constantly, until you overheard a conversation with (Y/N) and a guest. "Why don't we go somewhere else?" said a young man wearing a suit smugly. He certainly looked wealthy for his age, and things seemed fishy.

"Absolutely not! Completely off the table sorry!" You pushed (Y/N) away from the man. "Er, sorry sir. It's just that.. another guest has requested them. I can get you a more popular person if you'd like-"

(Y/N) forcefully pulled you away to the side. Knots started welling up in your stomach.

"What the hell was that for?!" (Y/N) hissed.  "We could have made a lot of money off of him!"

"Sorry (Y/N), I guess I was just worried. It's not exactly a good idea for you to go on an after-date with a stranger in the position you're in." You glanced at them apologetically. "There are.. some things right now that I can't tell you about that are.. really complicated. Please understand."

"I guess you're right.." (Y/N) sighed.

"Just please be careful, okay? No after-dates. I worry about you." You spoke softly. You were hoping they'd understand where you were coming from.

"Alright. I understand." (Y/N) sighed tiredly. You felt hot guilt wash over you. You felt like you had made (Y/N) upset somehow.

"Look, I can see you're trying your best here. I really appreciate that, but I think we should go. I think cabaret clubs aren't for you-" You tried to pull them towards the door so that they'd get the hint that you both needed to leave. "You said it yourself, it's not something you should get caught up in-"

(Y/N) seemed to be a bit stubborn. "Please just let me help you! You've been acting so.. weird all day. I just want to help you for everything you've done for me. Is that really so bad?"

"(Y/N) please, it's not like that!" You whimpered.

"Then what is it like?" (Y/N) glared at you.
