Hearing the front door open, Cameron turned to see Hayley walk inside. "Hayley! Did you have fun?"
"Yeah, Cam, I had fun" Hayley nodded, already cheering up as she saw her brother's beaming smile. "Look, I'm kinda tired-"
"Actually, Hayley, why don't you come 'round here for a sec?" Hayley's father suggested, as she shrugged and came into the loungeroom.
"I think I'm just gonna head upstairs and go to bed" Hayley mumbled, walking into the lounge room with her head hanging down.
Looking up, Hayley saw Josh standing by the TV. Josh was holding a rose, which he'd got just for Hayley.
"lf you two wanna talk, maybe you can go in the backyard?" Hayley's dad gave Josh a small smile before turning to do the same to Hayley.
"Sure, Dad" Hayley nodded, a little confused. She was happy and sad at the same time.
Giving her dad a hug, Hayley waited for Cameron to come to her so she could hug him too.
"I'm sorry for calling you an... A-hole" Cameron gave a small smile to Josh, hoping they could still be friends.
"It's cool" Josh chuckled, giving Cameron a fist bump before watching him hug his sister goodnight. Once Cameron had left, Josh looked at Hayley with an apologetic look. "Are you okay?"
Hayley didn't answer, simply surprised that Josh left the dance and left Tay to be here with her.
"Derek told me that he heard Parker talking about how he was going to-" Josh began, before being cut off by Hayley.
"l know... I just figured it out a little late, that's all" Hayley sighed, before heading outside with Josh following suit. "You know, there are still issues, even today... That's why I have this."
Josh looked down at a can of pepper spray in Hayley's hands, smiling to himself as he imagined Parker's ass being kicked - or in this case, his eyes being tortured.
"I may have hit the trigger a little longer than necessary" Hayley shrugged, placing the can back inside her clutch.
Josh laughed as Hayley joined in, opening the door to the outside of her house.
Hayley smiled as the pool glistened, looking up at the stars and moon. For some reason, it felt right. Having Josh with her felt just right.
"So how long have you been here anyway?" Hayley asked Josh, raising an eyebrow as she stopped to lay on the grass.
"Well after I failed at trying to find what hotel Parker booked at, I came here" Josh layed down beside her, passing her the rose. "So, a while."
"So you missed your prom... To be here?" Hayley turned to face Josh, the corners of her mouth lifting into a smile as Josh nodded.
Josh still felt really bad and wanted to properly apologise. "You know, I made that bet before I knew you, Hayley. Before I even knew me."
Hayley raised an eyebrow, turning to look back at the night sky. "What was it for, anyway? What did you end up losing?"
"My best friend" Josh answered truthfully, frowning as he turned on his side to fully face Hayley. "She taught me quite a lot. Before I knew her, I thought we needed to have all the answers, right here infront of us. But now, I'm loving the fact that I don't."
"So what now?" Hayley asked Josh, turning on her side also. She didn't care they were on grass and that her dress was getting ruined.
"I don't know. I've been kind of thinking about art school, to be honest" Josh gave a small shrug, noticing Hayley's confused expression.
"Art? You didn't even do art for school?" Hayley questioned Josh, smiling at the thought of them going to college together.
Shaking away from her thoughts, Hayley laughed as Josh began to imitate her.
"I am limitless, I am limitless, I... Am... Limitless!" Josh continued to mimick the play that Hayley had done when they first met.
"Josh, please shut up" Hayley laughed, leaning into Josh's face as she began to kiss him.
Looking around, Hayley noticed Cameron must have put the fairy lights on in the garden.
Turning back to Josh, Hayley ran her hand through his hair and smiled. "So, Josh, what were the terms of the bet anyway?"
"You'll see" Josh chuckled, leaning in to kiss Hayley again. Everything felt so right and he was glad Hayley had forgiven him.

The principal looked down at the papers in front of him as he began calling each name out for the graduation. "Jack Barakat, John Bryant, Mary Bryant, Emma Caddy, Parker Cannon..."
Amber was sat beside Parker, furrowing her eyebrows when she noticed the male was turning his head frantically. Nudging his arm, she sighed. "What's up with you?"
Parker's eyesight was still messed up - not that it would be permanent, or anything.
Looking to the stage where Amber had pointed to, the male quickly got up and nearly tripped over on his way up to the stage multiple times.
The principal continued calling out names, and when he got up to Josh's name, people looked when he didn't get up right away.
Girls were giggling and some guys couldn't believe the confidence Josh had once they'd seen him stand up.
Josh was butt naked, with just his graduation hat covering his junk. Once he stood up to walk to the stage, he threw the hat Hayley.
Hayley caught the graduation hat and laughed. Now the girl realised what the bet had resulted in - and boy was she glad Josh had lost it.

THE END!
I first wrote this in early 2015 and have since edited it in mid 2017 after letting it sit in my drafts for a year. It was fun to read over this with all the memories coming back to me of when I made 'Fake It'!
I did ask if anyone wanted an epilogue and I'm fairly sure some people wanted one. Two and a half years passed and I never did write one, however, I am more than happy to do one now if that's something that you want!Thank you for reading <3
