Grayson's POV
I couldn't stand that Melanie was going through all of this with Tati & getting kicked off the team because I did the stupid mistake of having sex with Tatiana. I wanted to make things right.
I went to Tatiana's house & her mom let me in her room.
"Hi." I said.
She looked at me for a moment.
"What the hell do you want?" She said.
I walked into her room & I closed the door as I did.
"No! Leave it open!" She said.
I did as she said.
"I just want to talk." I said.
I sat on a chair & she sat on her bed across from me.
"About what?" She asked.
"I uh, I know that you must hate me more than anything right now...but I just...want to apologize...about everything."
She stared at me.
"I uh, should have handled the situation better that night I came over." I said.
She stayed looking at me.
"I didn't know you...were...a virgin. I j-"
"Even if I weren't a virgin, you shouldn't have came to my house just for sex." She said.
I sighed.
"I know. I know. I...just wanted to tell you how sorry I am. From the bottom of my heart. I didn't want to cause trouble. I just needed something to distract me from my feelings, you know?"
She took a deep breath in & out.
"W-Why did you say that you...loved me?"
I sighed again.
"Because...I wasn't in love with you. I was in love with Melanie. I just didn't want to believe it. What Mel & I had was something that I cherished. Once I felt my feelings for her grow, I knew I had to kill them. So I thought th-"
"That having sex with her best friend would ease your feelings?!" She said cutting me off.
"Uh, no. I just thought I would just trick my mind into thinking I wasn't in love with Melanie."
"So you used me?"
I slowly nodded my head.
"I just...I regret that so much. I shouldn't have taken advantage of you like that. You were so nice to me that night. I just didn't think things would get this fucked up. I'm really really sorry." I said.
She sighed.
"I-I forgive you." She said.
"You do?!"
"Yeah."
I hugged her.
"Thank you." I said.
She smiled.
We talked for a bit & then I was heading out until Tatiana asked,
"Does Melanie hate me?"
"She's mad that you exposed us. But maybe if you, kinda changed your story & protect her the same way she protected you, then maybe Mel will re-consider everything."
She nodded.
"Thank you. For everything." She said.
I smiled & left.

Melanie's POV
I just got into a discussion with my parents & it got rough. I went to my room & cried.
I couldn't tell anyone, not even Tati what was wrong with me.
This is a big secret that I've been hiding.
As I sat on my bed I got a call from Grayson. I immediately declined him.
I sat there & cried.
Until I got a call from...Tati.
I got myself together.
"Hello?" I answered as I sniffled.
"Mel, are you okay?" She asked.
"Tati...no I'm not. I need you. Please, forgive me. I need you more than ever. Please, come over. I'm so sorry."
"No need to apologize, Mel. I'm heading there now. Hang in there." She said & hung up.
I sat there on my bed & cried.
I just needed Tati. I needed my best friend.
