A Quiet Day

You stayed with Sans throughout the night as well. You were scared to leave him, scared that he'd dissappear if you did leave. His sleep was fitful, he was obviously still under emotional distress. It may even be physical. Maybe he needed some Tylenol? You tried to get up to get some with his other medications, but he wouldn't let you leave now. Apparently he'd forgiven you... or he was willing to take comfort where he could get it. You sighed lightly and stayed put. You could get it ready when he fell asleep.. you started to pet his skull to which he nuzzled into you. It seemed he planned on being silent today as well. It was funny really. You MISSED his voice. "Sans... will you be ok..?" His yellow eyelights focused on you for a moment before he averted his gave and nodded. "... just give me time.." He replied, barely above a whisper. You couldn't help smiling a little at him. He was talking to you again! Sort of. Still, "I can do that." Having Sans forgive you, fills you with PATIENCE.

💉💉💉

Sans did doze off eventually. You weren't sure how much time you had before he woke up or had one of those lapses of sanity, so you tried to take as little time as possible. You grabbed Tylenol from the medicine bay and rushed back to Sans. You put them in with the rest of his medications, mostly consisting of antidepressants, anti-anxiety meds, and some magic supplements. You were quick to fill a cup of water and fetch a piece of cake, thank the Stars monsterfood doesn't spoil, in case he wanted to try out eating. Placing it all on the table beside his bed, you more or less snuggled back in with the skeleton, who... refused to take his medication the day prior. Stars no wonder he was so depressed... that and the news. You sighed. Since when have YOU ever slacked in your abilities? What made Sans different from previous patients? That you would have to ask Sans when he recovered. Speaking of, the skeleton's nasal bone twitched. How was that possible? Magic. His sockets opened as he focused on the cake. Then he looked at you. "I also brought medicine to help you feel better." She thought to mention Papyrus, but thought better of that idea.

💉💉💉

Sans took his medication, much to your relief, but didn't touch the cake. You suspected as much. You wouldn't push for now, but if it became a problem.. well, you would make sure it wouldn't be a problem. Currently Sans was curled in your lap, not unlike a dog, while you rubbed his skull and back. He seemed to take comfort in these actions. You sighed, hoping that things wouldn't get to much worse. He'd been through enough the last few days. You didn't regret telling him, but you'd hoped it would have been... better than this. Sans shifted in your lap and rolled off onto the bed. Shifting over to sit beside you he hesitantly went for the cake. He couldn't ignore your worry any longer. He would eat, not just for you, but for Papyrus. Papyrus wouldn't have wanted him to be like this, so he would try. He would live and and enjoy everything just like Papyrus would have wanted him to do. He would apologize to you and make it up to you, somehow. "[Y/N].." You perked. His soul sped up. "i'm sorry... i shouldn't have gotten mad. i shouldn't have worried you."
"Sans. Your in mourning. You're going to get mad. You're going to worry people. I'm your doctor, it's kinda in the job description." Sans chuckled lightly. "i guess."
