"Go ahead, Sans. Put it down." You encouraged your soul mate. Sans looked at you, then at Toriel and Alphys, then Undyne, before finally looking down at the paper in front of him. It was time. It was finally time for Sans to sign out and live his own life. He took up the pen and messily scrawled his name above the dotted line. "The papers are filled now, you are officially free to go, Hun." His smiled widened and a small dusting of blush spread along his cheeks as you kissed the top of his skull. "Getta room you two!" Undyne yelled out playfully. "Good luck and congratulations on your recovery!" Toriel congratulated. "I-invite me t-to the wedding!" Alphys comment had you both scurrying out, blushing. "so, what next?" Sans asked, now that he was free. "We go home." You replied simply. "home..? it sounds... nice. i like that. home." You smiled and took his hand. "Wanna walk or take the ferry?"
"what's a ferry?" That answered that question. "This way, River Person shouldn't be docked far!" Sans let you drag him off. "river person?" He would see soon enough who and what you were talking about.💉💉💉
After a very interesting boat ride, Sans was NOT a fan, and the usual unusual advice from the River Person, you docked in Snowdin. Sans was more than happy to get out of the boat and puffed out the cold air. It was humorous to watch him get excited about seeing his breath as you found where you stashed your coat and pulled it on. "Having fun there, buddy?" He jolted and flushed with embarrassment. "heh heh... sorry.." You shook your head. "It's fine, you've never been in cold weather before, I get it." He looked around. "and you live here?" He asked. "I live around here, yes." His interaction with snow was equally amusing. He tried to back away from it when he realized that his paws sank into the powder. It didn't work though and he ended up falling on his tail. "w-what is this stuff?!" He asked in slight panic. You tried not to laugh. "It's snow. Solidified water." He blinked. "i thought that was ice?" You chuckled. "Well yes, let me rephrase. Snow is what we call rain that freezes. It's harmless, you're gonna be ok. I promise." Shakily, you helped him to his paws and continued home.
💉💉💉
"There's the Shop, Snowed Inn, that place used to be a bar, I was thinking of buying it and using it as a clinic closer to the Ruins and this place, the Librarby (Sans snorted at that), the Ice Shack, and of course the peoples homes. Snowdin is a fairly small town so everybody knows everybody." You explained the town to Sans as you walked along. "i don't think i'm ready for interacting with people yet.." You rubbed his back. "I understand, you don't have to. We can just go home and get you adjusted for now. He nodded as you reached the front door of your cabin. You unlocked the door and let yourself in. "Welcome to our living room. Just ahead is the kitchen, behind the stairs is a bathroom, and upstairs has two bedrooms. One is guests, the other is mine." Sans sank comfortably into the green couch. "this is perfect.." You sat next to him. "You are perfect." He scoffed. "not."
"There's no such thing as perfect in reality, but as far as soul mates go, I hit the jackpot." He crawled over and cuddled into you. You cuddled back. Why is Asy so freaking adorable to write?! I freaking love it! But alas, this is the end. It is perfect. Well, as perfect as a story can get, there's always room for improvement, but that's not the point. *clears throat* I hope you enjoyed and have a great morning/afternoon/night!
