Once the theatre was cleaned and stocked, MJ and Peter told me I was good to call it for the night. The clock said 7:04, Wanda ditched about 15 minutes ago for her date with Vision. Buckys movie had about 25 minutes left, so I grabbed myself a pop and headed into his theatre.

It didn't take long for me to find him in the sea of seats, considering he was the only one in there, seeing as the movie had already been out for a month and most of the town had seen it at this point.

"Well, look who finally showed up! I was beginning to think you changed your mind!" He laughed, throwing popcorn in the air and catching it in his mouth.

I laughed at him, "my shift only ended four minutes ago. Relax."

"I can't help it! I thought my favorite girl forgot about little old me!" He said throwing more popcorn in the air, this time missing completely and laughing as the popcorn landed on the floor.

"I could never forget about you, B." My voice sounded softer than I meant for it to sound.

He looked at me and smiled and I swear he started blushing. But, it was hard to tell with the low lights of the theatre.

"Besides, you're my ride!" I said, desperate to lighten the sudden tension in the air.

"Ha ha ha. So funny. Oh, what drink did you get?" He asked, eyeing the red and blue striped cup in my hand.

"Dr. Pepper. What else do I drink?" I asked him.

As I sat next to him, he snatched the cup out of my hand and took a drink of it.

"Hey! Jackass! That's mine!" I yelled as I slapped his arm.

"Well, I finished mine. And I was thirsty. And here you came, like an angel, with a refill to save me. I almost thirsted to death." I rolled my eyes at his response but laughed anyway.

"You can't thirst to death, moron. Not in two hours, at least." I said as Bucky turned his body to face me.

"Scoot down a couple of seats." He demanded, handing me my Dr. Pepper

I shook my head, but did as he said.

I learned a long time ago not to question James Barnes.

"If you don't want to sit next to me, you can just say that, B." I said, settling into the seat and facing him.

"Oh, shove it, Ror! You know that's not it. We're gonna play a game to see who decides dinner." He grinned at me and pulled his popcorn bucket close to him.

"What game?" I questioned, pulling my hair down from its ponytail and letting the messy curls cascade down around me before pushing them back and away from my face.
