"Just tell him."

"Wanda. I am not telling him."

"You should really tell him."

"MJ! I'm not telling him!"

This has been going on for the last 45 minutes of the first hour of our shift together.

This is a seven hour shift.

"Max. What's the worst thing that could happen?"

"He could hear me!"

The first fifteen minutes was filled with me telling them about my nights with Bucky. About the look in his eyes when he's been looking at me.

Now it's filled with them telling me I should be the first one to say the L word.

"And?! He clearly feels it too. It doesn't sound like it's a one sided thing." MJ said, crossing her arms over her chest and leaning against the counter next to where Wanda was sitting with her legs crossed under her like a child at story time.

"Guys. I'm not saying it first."

"And why not? Give us one good reason why you can't be the one to say it first." Wanda said, raising her eyebrows at me.

I sighed and tugged the hair tie out of my hair and started running my fingers through it to redo the mess of a ponytail I just had.

"Because. He's never been in love. I've never seen him look at someone the way he looks at me. Do I think he loves me? Yes. Without a doubt. But, to be in love with someone is a different thing. And I don't want to put him in a position that makes him uncomfortable and puts him in a corner." I said, snapping the hair tie into my hair.

"Puts him in a corner?"

"Yes." I nodded. "As in, either he doesn't feel it and he says yes to make me happy or he doesn't feel it and just tells me he isn't in love with me like I am him."

"Or, and hear us out." Wanda started.

"He's in love with you too." MJ finished for her.

I shook my head at the girls in front of me.

"Max, seriously. You've said yourself that you see the way he looks at you. We all see the way he looks at you. And the way you look at him."

"Oh? And how do we look at each other."

They shared a look. As if trying to figure out how to put it into words.

Of course, I knew how we looked at each other. I've known for a while now how we look at each other. Like we're soulmates that finally found each other. Like we've searched every lifetime for one another and finally came together.

According to mythology, when humans were created, they were made with four eyes, two mouths, two noses, four legs, and four arms. Fearing their power, Zeus split them in half, right down the middle. Leaving them to wander the planet alone in search of their other half for eternity. Leaving to search for their soulmate for eternity.
