Many centuries ago, there was a lot of crime and cases that even the police and authority couldn't control or help, the people feeling threatened. Until, a man named yoriichi a prodigy in swordsmanship, couldn't take this nonsense and decided to find a way to help the citizen with his swordsmanship.

Yoriichi dedicated himself to making a possible way to fight crime and to help people fight back again criminals. one day he was able to create a way to fight back against criminals called (breathing techniques) by using his breath to force every muscle in his body to accelerate his blood in his body to boost his speed and strength to his Swordsmanship.

Yoriichi also created his Breathing style called sun breathing with thirteenth forms by practicing breathing techniques and has been helping people with his technique against criminals, who has also offered people to stand with his justice and teach them his way of fighting back. Many have joined him in his quest to make the world a better place and some have learned or created their own breathing style by practicing breathing techniques called WATER, FLAME, STONE, WIND, LIGHTNING breathings. 

but among those who have followed yoriichi , was a jealous soul named Akiyo Tomioka, the creator and first water breather, because yoriichi was always praised for his strength, speed, and intentions and he wanted that same praise and attention that yoriichi have gotten. so he has decided that he will defeat him and steal his fame in battle but was still weak compare to him, so he practice till he couldn't anymore, then he secretly use a way to make his breathing style stronger than anyone by sacrificing his own blood and mixing his blood with his water breathing, thus creating another breathing style called (Dance of the Red Sea) with tenth forms but needed to sacrifice some of his own blood to activate this style, tho turning his eye red and (sword just like the sun breather). 

one day he went up to the sun breather and challenge him into a duel, the sun breather refuse because he didn't want to hurt his companion but akiyo was so determined to get fame that he attack the sun breather without caring that he refuse. the sun breather was left with no choice but to accept the challenge and to defeat him in battle.

The battle was intence but yoriichi who was stronger managed to land attacks on the water breather without taking no hits from him until akiyo Tomioka cut both palms of his hand and let his blood flow thru his blade and anger consuming him, turning his eye and sword red like blood thus activating (THE DANCE OF THE RED SEA).

Yoriichi was impressed and worried that the water breather had lost himself into madness and needed to defeat him as soon as possible tho was going to be difficult because he notice that they were evenly matched in strength and speed. 

The battle lasted till 2 hours straight, no one daring to stop the two who were in a bloodlust battle, till yoriichi used his (Unnamed Thirteenth form) to defeat the water breather, akiyo who was unconscious after his defeat in the battle was taken to be heal and after was taken in front of the sun breather telling that he was no longer his subordinates and to leave his little organization of warriors. 

The water breather after that left the organization with stares from others, some were from hatred, disgust, disown and was slowly forgotten by the organization thus forgetting his appearances, and name. Many years later, yoriichi created a place where his organization and people who wanted to help the weak, could know how to fight and learn Swordsmanship.

Tho the same couldn't be said for Akiyo , after he was forgotten and disowned by the organization, he didn't know what to do now, but sooner or later he got married and would soon be having a family with the one he has married, tho he didn't want to be forgotten so he has passed his swordsmanship, breathing styles, sword, and a book containing everything about (THE DANCE OF THE RED SEA) down to his family for generation to come. That was more than a century ago.

modern era 

nowaday, the organization that yoriichi created was called the demon slayer organization and was in the hand of ubuyashiki family, who was chosen by Yoriichi after he retire, for their outstanding deeds. His breathing techniques and style have changed over the centuries and new breathing styles were created by swordsmen combining what little they could of sun breathing and 4 original elements.

We go to a boy who was in his high school day named giyu tomioka , he was a descendant of akiyo Tomioka. 

He didn't have many friends, only a few people that knew him. he has very long hair tied into a ponytail and a cold expression and blue dull eyes with no emotion in them. tho he look like someone with no emotion, but there was a broken boy who has suffered. he was a smart and intelligent student in his school but was picked and bullied for looking so weak to those who bully him. 

He was also very skilled with the sword and was an expert while using water breathing and DANCE OF THE RED SEA, who has also created an 11 form for water breathing called Deam calm and for creating 6 more forms for DANCE OF RED SEA called ( go check the first chapter, I too lazy to write them down again) and Special form called ZERO forms for the breathing style called( again go to the first chapter). but decided that he was not going to attract attention to himself and let people know that he was weak, but in truth, he could rival the Demon king himself (My Own Quotes).

he was getting stuff ready for his class but when he was about to go to his class, he felt someone has pushed him and dropping his stuff on the floor. he decided to turn around to see who did it and when he did, he met purple eyes that look like an insect looking at him smirking and a butterfly pin on her hair. his bully ever since he was a little kid was looking at his blue eyes with that smirk on her face still, for what she has done to giyu. 

Giyu then sigh and said: Shinobu kocho
