A dream? No, it is not... It is reality, something many of us hates, especially Kokonoi Hajime...

"Hajime-kun...Hajime-kun..." "What...? Akane...san... AKANE-SAN?!" "Ohayo, hajime-kun." "But...how?" "Your dreaming, Hajime-kun. Your asleep at the moment." "Is it really you, Akane-san?" "It is, hajime-kun. Listen carefully to what I have to say, please. I don't have much time." "What do you mean?" Akane ignored his question and continued on with what she had to say. "The road to get revenge on that yuuki girl will be horrendous. People will die, hajime-kun, so please don't do it. Seishu would not want that to happen."

"Akane-san, I'm sorry, but I must have my revenge. She must pay for the price for taking my love." "Hajime-kun, innocent lives will be wasted fr the sake of revenge. That will be the price of trying to get revenge. That will be the price of trying to get revenge. You will regret it." "The only thing that matters to me now is revenge. I want- no, I need her to be dead." Akane sighed, tears forming in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, akane-san. I must do this, for my Inupi." Akane saw the hurt, the sorrow, and the hope in his eyes and she relented. "I'm not happy with this decision, but please be careful, hajime-kun. Please, don't pity the dead. Pity the living and the lives your going to steal from them." Akane whispered loud enough for kokonoi to hear and the male smiled.

"Thank you for the wise advice, akane-san. You were always the smarter one between the both of us." "And you were always reckless, and you still are." Akane managed a small smile even though it hurts, it hurts her to even smile, a small smile that could comfort the male. Kokonoi returned the smile, a sincere one that could make one soften up. "Goodbye, hajime-kun." Akane disappeared befre kokonoi could say anything and he awoke back in the hospital, the sun shining brightly into his room. There was guilt weighing inside him but he shook it off, not wanting the feeling to sink deep into him.

There was no stopping kokonoi now, for his mind has been made up and he will make sure he succeded, no matter what consequences there may be, His thoughts were interrupted by the door opening, revealing the one and only Matsuno Chifuyu, who was carrying a handful of bags.

"Yo, kokonoi." "Chifuyu? What are you doing here?" "Keeping you company for awhile, then I'll go to the pet shop for work later so that Kazutora won't stress about doing work by himself again for another few hours." "But aren't we like, not close at all?" "I just felt like coming over, and I thought of dropping clothes when you're discharged from the hospital. It ain't gucci or louis vuitton but it's still good clothing." "That doesn't explain the other bags." "Oh... it's just some things me and baji-san took from your house before we had to put it up for sale. I would have let you wear your expensive clothes but well... it's kind of dusty and out of trend."

"Wait... YOU PUT MY HOUSE ON SALE?!" "You've been half dead for more than three years. We just did it because it would be a waste if we kept for paying for it and nobody was even staying at it. Don't worry, we can buy it back if you really want it back, but it looks kind of old and dirty and haunted so I rather you find somewhere else."

"Ah, I see..." As promised, Chifuyu stayed until he had to go with baji, who had came an hour later after chifuyu came. The couple walked out hand in hand, yelling a booming farewell. Kokonoi's eyes fell on the interwined hands of chifuyu and baji. How he wished he still had that special someone to hold his hand tenderly....  Kokonoi fell asleep after they left, having nightmares all over again about that night...

However, in another world..

"Akane Inui! What do you have to say for yourself?" A voice thundered. Akane was on the floor, head bowed towards him. "I'm sorry, lord of the world, the one and only, god of heaven, king of gods." Akane said, preparing herself for another round of reprimands aimed at her. "Do you know how serious this is? You of all people should know not to fiddle with the human world anymore, especially with someone you know from your previous life! Have you forgotten what I told you from that day when he came from the living as a dead?"

"My lord, I am very sorry for what I have done, but please hear my plea!" "You think I'll still want to hear whatever nonsense you're wanting to say when you have made me so enraged?" "But, my lord-" "Get this woman out of my sight. Akane Inui, remember what will happen if you make me so pissed of with you. I will not hesitate to drop the boy off to hell with all the torturous things he will need to bear, so don't disappoint me like this again." "Yes, my lord..." Akane bowed and quickly left the room. Her thoughts were racing all around her head,  extremely worried about him.

'I better see if he's okay...' Akane thought as she hurriedly ran to his room. She knocked on his door. "It's me, can you open the door?" Akane heard the door being unlocked and the door swung opened. "Oh no... did they do it again?" The boy nodded. "I'll tell them to knock it off." "It's no use doing that. I'll always be the black sheep of heaven." "I wish you would stop saying that..." "But it's the truth. Were you at that place again? I heard from the servants that you were summoned there and that they heard shouting." "It doesn't matter. What's more important is that your safe."

"I'm fine. You can leave now. Thank you." "But-" "Please leave. I'll see you tommorow at the dining room." Akane sighed but obeyed. She closed his door quitely, but not before looking back at the boy. He always thin but he used to be so happy when he was still a living human. Now, he looked so tired and dejected, barely wanting to talk. 'Please, anyone. Save him from misery...' Akane thought as she retreated back to her room, dragging her sore pair of feet. She didn't bother to change and flopped onto her bed. 'Will he ever be the same as before? Happy and smiling again?' Akane felt tears flowing down to her pillow and immediately wiped her eyes. With a heavy heart, she closed her eyes and began to dream of a life better than this with the boy.
