Tay.
"I know that's weird, but that's what you love about me. You love how much I love you. Because yes. I love you way too much. More than anyone deserves to be loved. But I can't help it. You make normal love hard. You make me psycho-love you."
I stopped after reading that specific line from the book, Never Never part two by Colleen Hoover, and glanced at the person sitting beside me on the couch, busy looking at the mobile phone. Until now, I couldn't believe that I'll end up with this person. We met at a very unexpected time and have been through so much.
"I know you love me so much, but just focus on reading the book so we can finally go out. I'm hungry"
I just gave the other person a chuckle before looking back at my book, but unable to find my focus anymore, so I decided to set it aside and reached for the other person's hand. The truth is, I couldn't just stand him being hungry. He is my boyfriend and baby at the same time.
"Let's eat then, Hin"
I said, giving him the warmest smile. He tightened the hold of his hand on mine before leaning in to give me a peck.
"The very reason why I always loved to say that magic word. You can't stand starving me"
He said before pulling me from the couch. My smile widened while watching his back, down to our intertwined fingers, while taking our way outside our place. The place he built for us.
One and a half year ago
"Tay"
Kapook called before I got inside my car. I looked back at her and she gave me the same warmest smile she gave me the first time we met. She looked pale and was obviously feeling unwell, but still insisted on walking me down the entrance of the apartment complex we live in. When I asked her if she's feeling unwell because of the pregnancy, she just shook her head and instead pulled me into a hug. The action made me confused. Kapook was really sweet, but she was never a hugger. Also, ever since the news about her pregnancy, I told her clearly that I'll take responsibility for the child, but also need more time to move on from New. I temporarily put a wall between us, but I never heard her complain. She said that she understood, she just needs me to be there.
"Take care, okay?"
She said, tightening the hug. I placed my hands around her waist and hugged her back.
"I will. Thank you"
I said, and was about to pull away, but she didn't allow me to.
"No. Thank you. Thank you for everything, Tay"
I pulled away after sensing that there's something wrong with her words, but she didn't show any other expression aside from the genuine smile on her lips.
"Is there something wrong?"
I asked worriedly. She immediately shook her head and tapped my shoulder.
"Go now, you'll be late"
I wanted to ask more, but I ended up releasing a deep breath before nodding. I got inside my car and glanced back at her. I couldn't help but smile when I saw that she's still smiling back at me while waving. I might not know a lot of things about Kapook, but she's really an amazing person. In a short period of time with her, I couldn't deny the fact that she also made me happy and I learned a lot from her. She values her time a lot like her days here were numbered. I smiled back at her and waved back before driving away.
