Shawn Turner

Jonathan watched as Shawn walked out the door. He felt helpless, he wanted to help Shawn so bad but was thorn between his role as a teacher and his feelings for Shawn.

He was no longer the boy's guardian. Both Shawn's father and mother had come back into his life which release Jonathan Turner from any responsibility to the boy's welfare. 

'There's a  fineline between authority figure and Shawn.' Hadn't Mr Feeny said that? 

With Shawn's parents back , he had to constrain himself in getting involve with Shawn's life. 

Jonathan knew how much Chet means to  Shawn. You could see how  the boy's eyes lit up when he sees his father , and how much he had waited for his father's call , when Shawn was staying at his apartment . Chet Hunter was his hero , and Shawn Hunter would have followed  his father even to the end  of the earth , if his father  had asked him to. 

Jonathan Turner's fear , was that he would one day come into class, and there would  be an empty table between Matthew's kid. Shawn  would drop everything  and leave ...He had done that before and Jonathan had tracked him down before Shawn could get on that bus to Europe Texas ( :)).

Jonathan knew he had to let Shawn  go  but  he really didn't know whether that was the right thing to do .....WHAT IF.......There it was ....... That lingering bothering feeling of regret. 

What If - he had signed those adoption paper  and Shawn would be his kid ? Would Shawn be happy staying with him,?Being house buddies  were one thing , this was a whole different ball game. 

Chet Hunter was trying to clean up his ways.Which was a good thing. He turned a new leave, got a job, his wife had come back and they seemed  to settle down...For a while. 

But Chet was not a great role model.

 Shawn need to get out of that trailer park and the environment there. No matter  how nice , Shawn pictured his families there was, it didn't make any difference. With whatever  that happen before  and even leaving under him, he still couldn't see himself as someone that could possibly have a better future

Jonathan knew he cared for Shawn, more then he would like to admit. It hurt him that he couldn't  get involve with Shawn's life as before and Mr Feeny  warned him not to intervene. What hurt him more , was the distance that he felt between the two of them. They were suppose to be best buddies yet Shawn never went to him for anything anymore. All the news he got was from Cory or Topanga. 

So, when he learned that Shawn was involved with the Centre, he knew he had to set him down and get through to him. 

When he heard  the words 'I don't know who I am John.' and the lost look that Shawn gave , as he held  Shawn's shoulder trying desperately to reach him. 

Jonathan Turner aka Mr Turner was at loss for words and could only watch Shawn Hunter walk out the door looking defeated. 

'What have I done.'Thought Jonathan to himself- watching  his student... He's best bud walk away.

And those words  were still in his head , as he drove his Harley on the street. Distracted , he didn't see the vehicle on the other side ...Until it was too late.......
