Second P.O.V

Your eyes flutter open, spotting your husband with your phone in hand calling someone. "Yeah we had some issues so do you think he could stay at home for one more day? Yeah. Yeah. Thank you so much! Yeah, thanks again." He said to the person on the other end, ending the call afterwards.
You groaned as you sat up, your whole body sore and aching but not the same way as yesterday.

His head snapped towards you and his signature smile formed on his face at the moment he spotted that you're awake. "Good morning sunshine! Did you sleep well?" He asked.
You nodded your head, really fucking glad for the rest since you felt so much better and even forgot some things from yesterday. You rubbed your eyes with your hand. "Who was it?" You asked, your voice obviously tired.

He sat next to you, pulling you into his lap so he could hug you. "I called your boss to let you stay at home again for today since there is no way I'm letting you go to work after that!" He pointed out last night's events. "And tomorrow is Saturday so we'll just relax at home, get you to your norm again and only after the weekend passes I'm gonna let you got to work!" He chuckled as he kissed the side of your head. You felt your heart flutter at his puppy like behavior. You love this man so fucking much.

You nodded with a smile of your own. "I love you." You turned your head so you could kiss him on his lips. He happily kissed you back with a little 'mwah' when he pulled away just to make you smile more. You chuckle. "Did I scare Buddy last night? I hope I didn't."
He let out a little nervous chuckle. "Well, when I came home he ran up to my whining. I wanted to go look for you but then you started screaming so I found you easily, kudos to you honey!" He laughed. "But not really, he was just worried by the looks of it." Eijiro pat your head and ruffled your hair a little.

You let out a sigh. "Then I'm glad. Sorry for causing a scene like that. If cops come or something thanks to the neighbors then tell 'em that your crazy husband just had a moment." You said jokingly, making a circling gesture with your finger next to your head when you said the word crazy.
He hugged you tighter. "Alright honey. I'm also gonna have to explain that one day before yesterday when you almost moaned your face off." It was his time to joke. Your face immediately went red and you shot an elbow to his stomach, making him let out a little 'oomph' sound.

"Domestic violence now? Should I report that to those cops too?" He laughed, ticking you a little to tease you.
You laughed with him. "Noo! Stoop!" You said in between laughs. He stopped, squeezing you tightly and kisses the crook of your neck.
"Okay okay. Imma be nice this time. Look at me how good of a husband I am!" He flexed his muscles a bit, his voice laced with pride and a joyful tone.
You put your hand behind you and tangled your fingers in his hair as you turned your head to the side to kiss him all over his face. "The best in my opinion."

You both stayed like that for a while; joking around, enjoying the moment, just being with each other until he had to leave for work as always. You hoped that this time he won't have to work overtime.
He then went with you downstairs both getting greeted by very happy Buddy and after exchanging farewells he left.

You pat Buddy as you looked through the fridge to get some breakfast. You decided on toast in the end so it was useless to go there.
You made a simple sandwich - bread, ham and cheese - with a glass of water/juice and sat down at the table, scrolling through your phone as per usual. Buddy sat next to you while you ate, staring and huffing away as his tail swayed whenever you pat him.

A sudden knock on the front door pulled you out of your morning daze. Who could it be this early? Sure it might be around twelve or something but that still very early for you.
You stood up, a little embarrassed that you're gonna have to answear the door still with your sleepwear on, but went to the door anyway.
Immediately when you opened, a fluff of black, spiky hair engulfed you in a hug.

You stood there for a second, a little confused but patting his back anyways because you're not someone who rejects hugs. You were about to ask what the fuck is going on by he beat you to it.
"You weren't at work since yesterday, I was worried." He sounded a little shook up but tried to suppress it. You pat his back a bit again and pulled away afterwards, a little surprised at his strength.

You have him a reassuring smile. "I'm fine Kai, just not really feeling up to it is all." You comforted the male and he just nodded, seemingly a little upset.
"I'm glad to hear you're fine," he let out a small sigh. "I should give you my number so I could call you next time and not have to walk all the way. Geez, stupid me." You couldn't help but to feel like you know his voice so well, but you didn't at the same time. This man confused you sometimes so fucking much.

You nodded, pulling out your phone and exchanging numbers with him. Afterwards, you invited him inside just like yesterday and he happily accepted the offer.

He noticed the half eaten food on the table and your sleepwear on you. His eyes did that thing with the darkening when he looked you up and down. "Oh did I interrupt your morning routine?" He asked. You shook you head.
"It's alright, I like company like you so I don't mind." You sent him a smile. He nodded, sitting in the same spot as he did yesterday.

You both started a random conversation while you ate your sandwich - which wasn't all that bad, it was alright actually.

"Yeah I was never sure if I'm a dog person or a cat person so I just let my spouse choose which one we're gonna get." You said with a smile, patting Buddy who was sitting by your side again. "Immediately when we got inside of the dog shelter this boy had taken a liking to us and wouldn't stop whining until we adopted him."
Kai nodded with a smile of his own. "Did you adopt him as a puppy or a big dog?" He asked.
"He was still a puppy actually! He was so adorable, he-" you spoke until you got cut off by your phone ringing. You checked the caller ID and picked up your phone, standing up. "Sorry I have to take this. I'll be right back!" You said as you ran upstairs into your room to have some privacy.

You picked up the call and put it against your ear. "Hey mom, long time no hear!" You greeted the older lady. It's been so long since you spoke with her, the last time being when she and your father came to your and Eijiro's wedding. It was wonderful to see them in person after who knows how many years.
"Hey darling, how are you doing?" She asked, joy in her voice to talk to her son.

Your smile widened, happy to hear that your mother is doing most likely good from the tone of her voice. "I'm alright. How bout yourself and dad? Anything interesting going on?" You asked her back.
She laughed a little. "We're doing great! We're chilling on a vacation in Spain right now. We wanted to invite you but your father reminded me that you're both far too busy to hang out with old people like us." She let out a dramatic sigh at the end. Your mom always liked to be dramatic as a joke.

Your conversation went on for a few minutes just going back in forth between some themes until you had to hang up since you remembered that you have a guest downstairs.
"Okay honey, be safe and stay healthy!" You mother shared her farewell and hung up first before you could say your bye to her too.
You let out sigh, but it was more of a happy sight to know that your parents are doing good. You like it when things are good. You love your peace.

You went back downstairs only to find Kai pacing around the room, touching random surfaces until his head snapped your direction and a smile immediately plastered his face.

"Sorry for taking so long, it was my mom. I haven't heard form her in a while so I just had to take that call." You let out another sigh as you sit back down in your chair. Kai followed right after you.
"No worries. Where did we end?" He asked. "Adopting Buddy?" He said and you nodded, resuming the earlier theme.
