It's been several days since Marie moved in and doing odd jobs for her. Originally Chris thought by accepting her terms. She would be a normal roommate. But that is far from the truth. Instead, Chris felt like he just replaced an old boss with a new one

At least Marie wouldn't just yell at him and she's a lot more relaxed. But Chris wouldn't want to make her upset. He saw a sample of that. So, Chris has been mainly doing odd jobs for her and those jobs have consisted of just deliveries.

Sometimes he would be delivering a box of God knows what's inside or sometimes bringing a very specific item to the person.

One time Chris brought a box of carrots to this horse beastmen but the horseman ordered cigars and not carrots. The Horseman was even angered that the person who delivered this was a human. So, Chris ran so fast he could practically win the Olympics by speed alone.

But he still got beaten up at the end. Chris Thought he could outrun a horse. After days of hard work. Chris is chilling out in his apartment watching TV and sitting on the couch. He has never done this much hard work in his life. But while he was pondering. He stopped his train of thought when he heard Marie enter the apartment.

Marie: Hey Chris. how are deliveries coming along?

She said in her general sly demeanor. But Chris has noticed that she has been treating him a little bit nicer. The keyword is a little bit nicer. Chris wakes himself up and then replies.

Chris: The deliveries were okay I was managed to deliver most of them. But how are you managed to do all of this? Don't you not feel tired when you do these deliveries?

Marie simply Shrugged. Marie: Chris, there is no need to rush. It's not like they paid a premium or anything.

She Chuckles and then tosses Chris another box. She explains to Chris that there is another delivery that needs to be done today but she Pats him on the shoulder. Knowing the amount of dread that he is in. Marie Smiles at him and then just goes to her room. Chris is still on the couch dreading the idea of who he's going to see.

Later that afternoon. Chris is driving around the countryside where the beastmen used to live before the vaccines. Ever since that this area has become a somewhat yellow zone. He keeps driving until his GPS tells him that he is close to his destination. This destination appears to be in a shopping center. When he enters the parking lot and there are not a lot of people in the area besides four guys.

He Parks the car and begins to walk towards the guys. Chris gets a good look at them and notices their strange outfits. They seem to be wearing camouflage military pants, black shirts with fingerless gloves, a Black Beret, military boots and a patch that has five stars. The patch is located on their shoulder and some of them are wearing balaclavas with blue sunglasses.
