It's been 10 days since the incident with Chris. A part of him feels like it was a dream or maybe Jenkins spiked his drink and gave him the illusion that a wolfman was attacking them. Either way, it was a rough night for Chris. Chris is currently in his apartment still reliving those memories. It's also been a while since he was back in his job. As a Mall Cop.
But after all that chaos that happened all those days ago. Chris is beginning to think that being a mall cop isn't so bad after all. Wishing to just go back to normal but he believes that he is way too far from that option.
He sets on his couch, staring at a turned-off TV, and reliving said memories. The time a mink invaded his house, the time he had to babysit a Mafia boss's daughter, dealing with some kind of supremacist, and being attacked by some man-wolf.
Chris: if I ever get married and have kids. I am totally retelling the story to them... Well if I lived long enough to have any.
He says now looking up at the ceiling and now sounding depressed.
Chris begins to wonder what his army dad would think of him. Well if he was still alive that is.
The image of his father appears in the back of his mind. Wearing his usual jeans and tank top get up. Raising his fist in the air while telling him
Chris's dad: Come On Son! Don't give up on me just yet. You can't go out like no wimp!
Chris: but Dad you don't get it. I might be dealing with the CIA or so kind of BS.
Chris's dad: BOY! You come from a proud military family! Your great-grandpa was a US Marine during the Second World War! Then your great-great granddad was a soldier during the first World War! You got Warrior blood in you boy!
Chris: YEAH! You're right Dad. I knew you got my back.
Then Chris goes back to staring at the TV again. Feeling the same way but now he has a little bit of confidence.
Well sitting on this couch still, he hears a knock at his door, and he walks over the check through the peephole. Chris: who could be knocking at my door at 5 a.m? In the morning.
He says to himself while looking through the peephole. He sees his boss Rufus looking quiet, Stern. He gulps in fear and opens the door slowly.
He peeks behind the door and has his head visible to Rufus.
Chris: Heyo! Sorry I didn't mean to have. You know? It's hard to explain.
He says sounded confident but slowly lost that confidence quickly. Rufus not looking impressed at all.
Rufus: well first things first Mr. Chris. I am more worried that I am mad. I thought something happened to you but I guess not. Also, why are you acting funny? You don't normally act like this.
Chris: well boss. If I told you, you wouldn't believe me.
The two of them stare at each other awkwardly before Rufus replies.
Rufus: did you join a cult?
Chris: NO! I didn't join any cults or really any group. Or any social Gatherings for that matter.Unless you want to count the events I've been through as social gatherings.
Rufus looks at him with even more confusion but Chris takes a deep breath and begins to explain the events that transpired.
