——prologue 00.00
A GROAN left his mouth, as he placed his forehead on the corner of his desk in order to shut out the overbearing lights of the class room. he took a deep breath, it was hopeless. there was no way for to get through this headache with this class, maybe, just maybe if he would shut his eyes, it'd finally be better.
"bakugo?" aizawas voice rang through the classroom; yet it didn't reach him. he was too exhausted to let such a low voice keep him away from the peace of sleeping.
"bakugo,"the man said, walking towards the sleeping figure. "bakugo," he said again, now hovering over him. "what?" bakugo spat tiredly, yet somehow annoyed, as he looked up, the sudden brightness disturbing his eyes as he narrowed them. "go to the nursery and get some rest,"the teacher demanded, a strict and somehow worried tone in his voice.
normally for bakugo, he'd argue. there was no chance for him to miss class if he wasn't extremely sick. especially today since they had training, and exams coming up. but today, and for the past few weeks honestly, that was the only thing he really actually needed. to do that, what the nightmares wouldn't let him do. to rest in the comfort of his bed.
so with a sigh, he did as told. but as soon as he had arrived to the nursery, there was no way for him to sleep. an annoyed groan left his mouth. there he was again, laying in a bed that once again, couldn't be used for it's only property. might as well stayed in class.
after all sleep is something every living thing needs, without sleep your body doesn't rest and you brain can't progress the things you had seen and learned throughout the day, therefor sleep is most important for students.
As we all know, the education students get in u.a high is demanding and hard, you have to study and if you don't follow the lessons you'll fall behind, of course the physical grades are more valid in the hero course, but if your body doesn't fully rest as it should, you'll never be capable of actually coming to your full strength.
considering the importance of sleep, bakugo katsukis first priority was going to sleep early and having a healthy sleep schedule so his brain could work in all capacity.
however, this all changed with him being kidnapped.he tried hard to get back into the schedule, yet it didn't work. hence his frustration and his lack of of motivation. he'd fall asleep at 8:30 as usual but would wake up when the nightmares started, which was about 3 a.m, till school started, he kept himself busy with work outs, studying or simply reading.
and of course his sleeping problems reflected in his school work, not only in his tests, in his physical work too.
it bothered him, but as stubborn as he is he started to work at it himself, the result was: It didn't change anything, except for his grades being better, which is a bonus.
bakugo didn't tell anyone, neither did anyone noticed or they did but they didn't ask him further questions.
little did you know, y/n l/n was working on a similar problem.
her sleep schedule was, how can I say it? it was terrible. she had been dealing with sleeping problems ever since she was a child.
she started to work on it, whether it was asmr, working out before bed, starting a routine. nothing ever managed to help her.
desperat and tired, y/n walked to the elevator to get to the kitchen. her eyes were half closed with her blanket covering her, she walked in.
as she took out the water heater, which the class had left in a cupboard so shoto wouldn't find it. she let the water run in it and started it so the water could become warmer.
after she was done with making her tea,she walked up to sofa and sat down. blowing on her tea that was placed in her hand, she heard footsteps.
I'm telling you, if you grew up in a household of three women, one of them being your mother and the others being sisters, and with it being a latino household, you have the ability to know who the person is based on their footsteps.
but then again, bakugo isn't really one of the quite walkers,is he?
so it didn't take her really much time to figure out who the person was that was walking into the kitchen.
looking at the clock that was placed next to the tv,y/n could see that it was about 4 a.m., which meant that she had slept about five hours straight.
it felt longer than it was. "good morning princess,"she greet the boy who came into the common room.
"don't call me that,"he said, his tone not as pissed as usual, maybe because it was so early in the morning or so late at night. she just chuckled in response. "sure."
"can't sleep?"bakugo asked, taking a sip of his tea. "no I usually wake up at this hour"she said sarcastically, as she looked up at him. his eye bags were huge, he he had a tired look on his face, making him almost look desperat. she sighed. yn knew the feeling too well for anyone's liking. "not really, you?"she asked him. "yeah, me too,"he said, when he heard two little thumps on the couch, he looked down, seeing y/n patting the spot beside her. "sit down,"she offered,as he sat down.
"since when?"y/n asked him, blowing on her tea. "since we moved,"he said, looking at her. "shit ,that's long,"y/n said as she took a sip. "how about you?"he asked her, looking at her.
"since i can remember,"she said looking back at him. "sucks,"he whispered as he attempted to stand up.
"hey, bakugo,"y/n called, as he stoped walking. "if you wanna i don't know hang out, I'm always here at this hour"she said, rubbing the cup.
"thanks." he said softly, as he walked up the stairs. it was nice to know that someone was there who had the same problem as he did.
