The new guy

Naruto's POV

"I'm sorry kid your parents didn't make it" those are the words that turned my world upside down I kept thinking back to that night we were coming home from the store when a semi truck came out of nowhere and collided with us and now I was on a train by myself to Konoha which is where my godfather Jiraiya lives he was appointed as my guardian after my parents died I was happy about that actually as we were both very close as I stepped off the train there he was waiting and waving in his old red leather jacket and black t shirt his white hair messy as always and a weak smile that was probably just there to make me feel better was plastered on his face

"Hey Naruto" he said as I got closer to him he hugged me tight and whispered to me "I know I could never replace Minato as your father buddy but I'll do my best I promise"

A small smile appeared on my face and we walked towards his car it was an old red mustang that we had rebuilt together when I would visit him during the summer brake from school "I miss them pervy sage" I always called him that because of the way he was always looking at girls as we passed them

"Me too buddy me too" he did his best to comfort me but I could tell he was as devestated as I was so when we got back to his place we both cried hard then he sniffed and wiped away both our tears "hey I know what'll cheer you up" he said happily and I knew where he was going with this you see if I was ever sad or upset when I visited him we would go into town and visit this local ramen restaurant "Ichiraku's ramen" it's called old man teuchi and his daughter make the best ramen I've ever had and it always seemed to cheer me up when I needed to be cheered up

"Come on Naruto let's go to....." I cut him off and yelled "ICHIRAKU'S" before he could finish I couldn't help but smile as I loved visiting the little ramen shop so we got in his car and we went out for dinner and for that moment at least I felt happy

Later that night we were back at Jiraiya's place when he said
"so you excited to start school on Monday ?" I forgot to mention but Jiraiya has enrolled me in the local high school in Konoha as I'm about to start my freshman year "honestly Jiraiya I'm nervous and scared" I said as we talked

"That's ok buddy your going to do great the headmistress said she'll meet you in her office on Monday morning and she will have someone helping you till you get used to everything and get settled" see I had moved to Konoha about 3 weeks after school started so not only was I the new kid in town but I was the new kid at school which is what scared me the most honestly "Jiraiya what if I make a fool of myself and everyone laughs at me?"

"Then you ignore them and get on with whatever your doing and remember no matter what your parents will be with you forever my boy ok" he replied with a reassuring look on his face and I hugged him tight then I walked up the stairs went to my room showered brushed my teeth got into bed and let sleep take over
