The weekend

Naruto's POV

I woke up to birds chirping this morning my alarm clock beeping in my ear and a knock at the door

"What do you want Jiraiya?" I said still being half asleep "there's a girl with purple eyes asking for you so I told her to wait in the kitchen" I blushed and my eyes went wide Hinata I threw on some shorts and ran downstairs "heyyyy Hinata what's up?" I said kinda nervous as I don't remember giving her my adress

"Hi oh Naruto-kun your shirtless"she said while blushing in my rush I had forgotten to put on a shirt "oh crap sorry about that Hinata" I said as I put on a shirt from the pile on the table "so what's up Hinata?" I said in a friendly yet confused tone
"oh ummm well everyone wanted me to invite you to come to the mall with us today" she said nervously

"Umm sure let me get ready and tell Jiraiya and then we'll head out" I said quickly running upstairs to get ready and talk to Jiraiya "hey Jiraiya I'm going out with my friends from school today if that's ok with you we're just going to the mall to hang out I think"

"Sure buddy just be careful be polite to people don't be home too late and have fun ok I'll see you later" he said to me I smiled and went to go get ready I looked in my closet and put on some jeans a plain white t shirt and a brown jacket that I got for my birthday last year then I went down stairs and saw Hinata waiting for me she blushed when she saw me I still don't know why that happens though but I'm sure she'd tell me when she was ready "ok I'm ready let's go OH Hinata your blushing again" I said she smiled and followed me as we left the house "Naruto-kun the others will meet us at the mall ok" she said to me timidly like she always does with me "ok Hinata sure thing" I replied

Strangely I enjoyed spending time alone with Hinata and also I had butterflies in my stomach whenever I looked in her eyes but what I can't figure out is why she makes me so damn nervous I guess I'll ask Jiraiya about it later after a short while we arrived at the mall and saw everyone waiting for us

"About time you two got here we've been waiting it's a drag" said shikamru in his trademark lazy voice and Ino punched him in the arm "owww damn it Ino what was that for" he said sounding kinda pissed "be nice Shikamaru so what if they're a little later than us they were just enjoying the walk plus Naruto is new here so Hinata was probably giving him a tour of Konoha along the way" she said to him then she smiled at me and Hinata

"Cmon guys let's go already!" Sakura said with a smile on her face I didn't know this at the time but Sakura LOVES shopping so after that day I promised myself I'd never go shopping with her if I was alone because I would probably either die of boredom or brake my arms from carrying her shopping bags which did actually happen once surprisingly

We walked around the mall for a while and did a little shopping I needed some new socks and cologne since I just ran out so I got the stuff I needed and I got a new T-shirt I saw that I liked it was a simple black and white nike athletic T-shirt after shopping for a little bit we decided to go get lunch so we all went to ichiraku's for lunch we all ordered and payed for our food and it was amazing as usual then we decided to go home and Hinata offered to walk me home since I was still getting used to Konoha I accepted mostly just so I could spend some time alone with her which excited me for some reason that's something else that I would have to ask Jiraiya about

I walked in the house and saw Jiraiya watching nascar on tv "hey Jiraiya I'm back" I said loud enough for him to hear me "hey buddy how was it did you have fun" he asked "it was great and yeah I had fun but there's some stuff I wanna ask you about" I replied
"sure buddy what's up?" He asked so I told him everything that Hinata made me feel and how it confused me and how I had no idea what it meant he just sat there and listened quietly nodding his head as I spoke he didn't say anything until after I finished

"Well buddy that to me at least sounds like you have a crush on this girl" he said with a smirk on his face "wwhat are you sure about that Jiraiya?" I asked nervously "buddy I'm positive about this look all you have to do is calm down and tell her how you feel even if she doesn't like you back you can still be friends" he said reassuringly "ok I'll ask her to come over tomorrow and I'll tell her then" I replied feeling confident I then went upstairs put the stuff I had bought away brushed my teeth and went to sleep
