Chapter 4: shes alive

June gasped, she was finally catching her breath after everything that happened and then it was like a tsunami hit her.
That girl was named Vi...and she had pink hair...could it be possible she met the same Vi who was the little girl that was Ekko's childhood friend?

June finally got back home, she snuck through the back and slipped through her room. She was grateful that it was dark but that also meant Ekko definitely was going to confront her and be all annoying.

She set down her belongings and flopped on her bed slamming her face in the pillow. If that was the vi Ekko knew she couldn't believe she flirted with her.
She paused and then shot straight up, she had to tell Ekko! That was his childhood friend who he thought died.
She ran out of her room which was actually part of a tree, it was basically a mini tree house with her things and a bed and some of her experiments: projects scattered on a wooden desk. Opening the door she climbed down a ladder and looked around for Ekko.

Leo looked up from his book, "where have you been?"
June ignored him and kept walking. She saw Rafael (the bat looking guy I'm sry I don't play Leage of legends)
"Hey have you seen Ekko?"
Rafael frowned, "yea he's up in his work shop..."
June smiled, "thanks!"
"But...he's kind of angry right now..."
June gulped and nodded as she headed towards Ekko.

She peaked her head in and saw Ekko sitting on a wooden stool while staring at a piece of paper a small lamp was the only light in the room. She took in a deep breath and entered.
"Ekko..."
He turned around his eyes widened and instantly wrapped his arms around her.
"Ekko I-"
He pulled back and glared at her, "what the fuck June! Why were you in the city"

"How did you--"
"Why were you flying around on your hoverboard!"
"How--"
"Also why the hell were you in the whore house!"
June mouth dropped the the ground, how did he know all of this? "We're you following me!!"

Ekko rolled his eyes pressing his fingers to his temple, "no. Not everyone sees a girl gliding in the air every day you know."
"Well this is awkward" June muttered looking away.
Ekko groaned, "god June you could've been followed! Wait were you--"
June crossed her arms, "how dare you-- I get I don't always make the best decisions and sometimes I get myself into trouble but I am not stupid! I wouldn't let anyone just follow me back here."

He sighed, "okay okay I'm sorry I'm just really stressed right now. I don't like you going to the main city..."
"You and I--"
"I lived there I know but it's not the same!"
"EKKO! You aren't the only one who was still alive when Vander was! I'm only a year younger than you! I know what the Under City was like" she snapped getting tired of him.
He nodded looking down, "I'm sorry you're right...it's just. I've lost a lot of people in my life and I know others did too but you are my family...I don't want to loose someone important. I feel like everyone died who I knew when I was little and --"

June walked over her eyes softened, "not everyone."
Ekko paused and shook his head, "what? I mean I know Powder--I mean Jinx but she's"

"No. I mean not everyone died...VI's alive"
Ekko backed away shaking his head some more, "June what are you talking about? She died ...the buildings fell and the fire and.."
"I know I know but I saw her"
"No it can't be maybe you got confused and"
"And said her name was Vi! And she had pink hair and...and "

Ekko sat back down his hand gripped the end of the table, "how? When? Where?"

June bit her lip... she could tell him everything but she felt like that would complicate and stress him out, "I saw her when I was down in the main city...I followed her because she looked like the Vi you talked about and then I overheard um...two people talking and she said her name was Vi"
Ekko ran his fingers across his face, "this can't be real. JUNE! I thought she was dead this is crazy"

June couldn't help but start grinning, this was good, really good actually this may help Ekko. June wanted him to realize not everyone is gone.
"I swear I know it has to be her!"
"I just...what if it's not?"
"Let's go check then"
Ekko looked alarmed, "what do you mean?"
"I mean we go to the main city... together and I bet we will find a hot-- I mean a pink haired woman somewhere."
June blushed at her small stumble, ekko raised his eye brow.
"Fine...let's go"

Time skip

June and Ekko decided to use their hoverboard to look around for Vi. It was ironic since Ekko pestered June about making sure they never used them outside of doing business
but since they were wearing their gears and had masks it made it a little more safe and they were good at making sure no one really saw them.

They glided through some alley ways and past the buildings June was at earlier but there was no sight of the Pink haired woman yet.

Ekko sighed looking around, "i don't know June..."
June bit her lip, "I swear let's just keep looking for a little please don't loose hope" June begged. She really wanted Ekko to believe her.
Just as they were about to get on their hover board June heard some fighting.

She looked around the corner and there she was, Vi punching Servika.
"Damn"
"What?" Ekko walks over and gasps.
The two peeked over and watched as Servika and Vi fought.
June could feel Ekko's stiffen body became cold.

"She's like his daughter" Servika sneered,
"NO!" Yelled June, she felt Ekko grab her arm.

servika raised her robotic arm and just before Servika was about to stab Vi , servika arm got shot with a bullet.
They both relaxed, "wait who's that?" Whispered Ekko as the enforcer came over helping Vi get up.
June looked at Ekko, "uh...have no idea"
"Why is she with an enforcer?"
"Maybe there's more to the--"
"I can't believe she's alive." His voices cracked.
