"royal invites"
Mattheo let out a bitter chuckle. "Uh no."Draco stayed quiet, eyes wide.
"It's not a bad idea, riddle. Your father clearly doesn't want your input anymore so why don't you join our side? It's smart .", prim explained.
"He'll slit my throat.", answered the riddle. He drank the water on his nightstand.
"I personally am not against that.", Draco made known with a shrug.
Mattheo gave him a look. "Is that so?"
Prim rolled her eyes. "You guys need to stop bickering."
as footsteps echoed down the corridors, Prim hurried to hide in the resource closet. "this conversation isn't over.", she spoke as she did so.
mattheo and draco repositioned themselves on the cot to seem like they were sleeping, eyes closed tight.
madam pomfrey walked in with a trolley of brand new bandages. "there's no use in pretending boys, I know you are wide awake."
both Slytherins opened their eyes in defeat.
draco sat up. "I requested I not be put in a cot by riddle's. I couldn't help but notice the rest are empty. was that really too much to ask?"
riddle scoffed. "if you find the time, please do move him, he snores."
"I do not!", malfoy objected.
"fuck.", riddle muttered under his breath as pomfrey sighed and rolled the trolley to the resource closet where the mikealson lay as still as a rock.
draco itched his nose as he tended to do when under stress.
pomfrey opened the closet and was startled by prim with a smile plastered on her face from ear to ear. the nurse took several steps back nearly knocking over the things on the trolley.
prim silently cringed at getting caught. "sorry."
"and what exactly are you doing here mikealson?" pomfrey looked over at the boys for a second with a knowing glare before turning to face the mikealson again.
"can you just please not take away house points? I know it's past curfew, but we just got carried away talking and-"
"-just head back to the common room. I can't assure you the prefects won't spot you and say something, but I won't say a thing if this doesn't occur again.", she assured.
prim let out a sigh, glad house points wouldn't be deducted for a pointless visit. "thank you so much."the Slytherin girl scurried out exchanging looks with the boys before exiting the medical wing.
pomfrey neatly placed the bandages in the resource closet. "what a mess that girl is, am i right?"
both of the Slytherin boys nodded.

it didn't take long for the boys to recover, quickly joining pansy, blaise, and prim in their daily common room hangout time as they liked to call it. the air between the malfoy and riddle was thick, but remained ignored.
"we need something that will ease the tension for slytherin after...the incidents." primrose suggested. "i know it wont be possible to get it back to normal, but we cant have the other houses especially gryffindor think we are weak, scared, or separated."
"why not? we'll have the upper hand?", mattheo probed. he had barely been paying attention to the conversation on the cushioned seat across from the mikealson where the fireplace hit his features just right, but would occasionally share his opinion.
"thats the thing riddle, we are weak and scared right now."
draco had zoned out yet again only returning to the conversation upon hearing they were weak and scared, two things he never wanted to be described as. "im sorry, what? we're slytherins they should be scared."
mikealson rolled her eyes at the malfoy's need to prove he was neither of those things she just called them. "well im not talking about us in specific im talking about the slytherin house as a whole. i mean have you seen some of these students? they're running from the entrance to their dorms every night with they're lumos spell on, afraid something will come and kill them. we need something to put them at ease."
"how about a party?" pansy hadn't provided much input until then. gaining a smile from blaise who nodded in agreement. "if there is something slytherins are good at, its throwing killer parties."
prim smiled at her friend giving her a hug. "i fucking love you that could really work." the mikealson cupped the parkinsons face in her hands and gave her a kiss on the lips, playfully. pansy only laughed. it hadn't been the first time. "genius."
mattheo smirked at the sight, draco only watched, and blaise remained unfazed by the two, used to it by now.
prim got to her feet having already caught the attention of all of them. "prepare your best suits and your sexiest dress because this party is going to be elite."
slytherin parties mostly only ever functioned one way. it was the way that worked. that got everyone outside of their tight-knit house eager to attend. they handed out invitations in peculiar and eye-catching ways so as someone would watch they're friend receive the invite, they'd be dying to get one too.
invites were only sent a day prior to the party, the last invites sent the night before. owls would drop the parchment into the student (and future attendee)'s hand and the paper would wither away in flames of green, that's how you knew you'd be attending. at the night of the party they'd shine a special light at each students hand. if there were remains of green on they're hands from the parchment and ash, they were allowed to come in.
usually they only invited people they liked, seeing as the parties were always hosted by the same group of people. the slytherin royals. so harry, ron, and hermione were extremely taken aback when they themselves had for the first time ever received and invite to the party.
they had been discussing plans on overthrowing voldemort at the dining hall over some breakfast when the letter had dropped into all three of their hands, withering away simultaneously and leaving them in shock after perfectly having known what it meant. the students nearby watched in both shock and jealousy.
primrose had made sure that the golden trio were the first to receive the invites. at the sight of the green flames, gossip commenced and the slytherin party was officially announced.
