Chapter 2 - Truth

Because you, Sasha and Connie had all pregamed, you collectively decided to uber to Erens.

His house wasn't necessarily far away, but it was dark and driving was faster.

In the car your anxiety crept it's way back into your chest after you realized you had no idea who would be there, the original plan was just the OG group from elementary school, but then Sasha invited Niccolo.... you couldn't help but wonder who else would make an appearance and what would unfold because of it.

You wondered why Eren even wanted you to come in the first place.

"You okay Y/n?" Sasha asks.

"Just.... Nervous I guess." You reply honestly.

"Oh yeaaaa... I guess it's been a long time since you've been here." Connie butts in.

"Point out the obvious one more time." Sasha flicks his ear.

"Yo!" He yelps cupping his ear as he moves as far away from Sasha as the small compacted car would let him.

You laugh at them both, they didn't realize how easy it was for them to cheer you up.

Having them in your life was like breathing fresh air after being trapped in fire.

Both Connie and Sasha begin to laugh when they notice you laugh, and you don't say anything but you even notice the Uber driver muster a small smile when observing the three of you from the review mirror, this makes you smile more.

The drive wasn't long, in fact you wish it could've been longer, but eventually the three of you arrive at the Jaeger household.

You had forgotten how crazy his house was in person, a roundabout driveway with a gigantic fountain as the centre piece, hedges and rose gardens lining the driveway, and two enormous white pillars stood at the entrance.

"Jesus." You mutter under your breath as you exit the car.

You could hear muffled sounds of music and laughter coming from somewhere around the house.

Nostalgic was one word you could use to describe what you felt walking through the giant doors into the infamous Jaeger mansion, nervous was another, but excited is what you convinced yourself to be.

The three of you drop your bags inside one of the many rooms before continuing further inside the house.

You followed behind Sasha and Connie, having them guide you in felt a bit more comforting.

Music blasted through every hallway, the lights were a dim blue as you progressed further into the house, you could just barely make out the familiar faces surrounding you.

Sasha is immediately cheerful "Annie Leonhart!" She walks up to the blonde girl and gives her a friendly hug

"Sasha Braus." She replies smiling

Clouds of smoke drifted and dissipated into the air around the room, the fog created a blue haze against the light.

You watch as a blonde girl and someone else walk down the giant staircase, you can't make out their faces.

Connie immediately went for a keg, he didn't hesitate to pour it straight into his mouth.

You asses your surroundings, trying to see who exactly was at this 'get together', you notice a giant sliding glass door that lined the kitchen and you catch a glimpse of a few others outside.
