Jordyn's Pov

Practice had just finished and I was the last one in the locker room. When I'm the last one, I usually just dance to my R&B playlist. I dance like nobody's around.

Nobody.

The song playing was 'Hot in Herre' by Nelly, and I was grooving.

It's a good song, so what can I say.

In the middle of my groove, I saw Kamryn walk in. She looked shocked when she saw me, but I paid no mind. I just stayed dancing, and then my next song came on.

'If It Isn't Love' By New Edition.

Yeah, I'm not stopping now. I started to sing.

How does it feel?
I can't describe this feelin'
That came when I saw her last night.
She got to me.
I'll let you know the reason.
I saw her with another guy.

I continued singing while looking at Kam in my peripheral vision. She had the same beautiful-uninterested look on her face. The same look that I always get.

If only I could see her smile.

The song ended and Lauryn Hill came on. I honestly love her.

Ready or not, here I come
You can't hide
Gonna find you
And take it slowly

Ready or not, here I come
You can't hide
I'm gonna find you
And make you want me

Kamryn just stared. I wanted to say something, then again I wanted her to say something.

Why was she in here anyways?

It's not like she has gym class or practice. Plus she has no interest in me—yet I'm the only one in here?

I don't understand this girl.

The song ended and I finally looked at Kamryn.

"You enjoy the show?"

I asked her with a smirk.

"Yeah, you were having a whole concert in here."

She replied rolling her eyes and looking away.

"Can you like-put some clothes on?"

She said rolling her eyes once again.

That's when I realized I only had my boxers, socks, and binder on. I put on my sweatpants and closed my locker.

"Happy?"

I asked sitting next to her.

She rolled her eyes. Again. She really needs to stop doing that, or we'll have a problem.

She got up making her way to the door while saying nevermind.

I was confused since she didn't even say anything. Let alone even start a conversation.

She was on her way out of the room when I grabbed her wrist—gently of course. It was out of reflex, but I was curious as to why she came here for no reason—from my perspective obviously.

"No—what were you going to say?"

I asked her while making eye contact.

"Nothing Jay, that's why I said never mind."

She explained while turning to walk away.

"Come on Kam, just ask. I know you didn't come in here for no reason."

I said trying to persuade her.

After a few no's and pleases she finally decided to tell me.

So problematic. She's lucky I genuinely like her—anyone else and I would've walked away.

"You can take me out tonight."

She said with a frown.

"Wait—really?"

I asked only because she play too much half of the time.

"Yes, Jay."

She assured me.

"You serious?"

I asked her again. I swear if she's playing with me.

"I'm gonna change my mind if you keep on asking."

She said turning away and rolling her eyes.

"Fine, fine. I'll see you tonight then-"

I said quickly with a huge smile.

"-at seven?"

I added.

She nodded without turning around and walked out of the locker room.

I will be beyond aggravated if she's playing, but the point is–I'm taking Kam out on a date. It took a while, but I finally get to take her out.

"Yes."

I happily exclaimed to myself.

I may or may not have hit a few dance moves after—that doesn't matter though because—

I'm going on a date with Kamryn Jackson.
