~Hopes POV~
My eyes flutter open and immediately snap shut as the afternoon sunlight invades my senses. I hear a soft knock on my door, I look down and see Josie still fast asleep on my chest. I use my magic to open the door revealing a much better looking Lizzie. "I'm glad to see you're in one piece Saltzman" I tell her playfully. She gives me a small smile. "Can I come in?" She asks me shyly. I chuckle at her awkwardness and nod. "Of Course Liz." I tell her. She sits down on the couch on the other side of my room. "What's up?" I ask her. She takes a deep breath and her eyes meet mine. "Do you love her Hope? Like really love her?" She asks me without a trace of playfulness on her face. I look down at the sleeping twin in my arms and can't hold back the smile that appears. "I do Lizzie. I think I always have and I just wasn't ready to accept it." I reply to her trying to show her just how serious I am about her sister. "I've read the stories about your family and what a promise means to them, I want you to promise me something Mickelson." She tells me, her eyes never leaving mine. "Anything Lizzie." I say back confidently. "Protect her Hope. You deserves the world. I have been a bad sister and I want to change. I wanna see her happy. And have all her dreams come true. But I also know this school, us, you, everyone in our lives has enemy's of sorts. Please just make sure she is protected." She all but whispers to me. "I promise Liz. And that promise goes to you as well. You are her family. That makes you mine. I will protect both of you for my eternity." I whisper back. Josie begins to stir in my arms. "Why are you two talking at this ungodly hour?" She asks quietly. Lizzie and I both chuckle softly. "It's just past noon love. I think we better get up." I tell her softly as my hands run through her hair. She groans and turns over looking to Lizzie. "Are you okay? I'm sorry I didn't come to the room last night I fell asleep.." She tells her. I can see the look of worry on her face. Lizzie gives her a smile and says " It's fine Jo you need to spend time with Wolfie here to. She winks playfully at me and I can't help but laugh. "Hey Jo, why don't you go get lunch with your sister and I'll meet up with you in a little bit. I'm gonna shower and call Aunt Freya." I tell her. "Okay baby see you in a bit." She replies, kissing my head and leaving with Lizzie. I lay back on my bed and exhale. The last few days have been a lot. We still don't know much about the soulmate bond. I don't want to scare Josie off but I'm curious. I pick up my phone and click on Freyas number. After a few short rings she answers. "Hey kiddo everything okay?" She asks me. I smile at her over protectiveness. "Yeah I actually just wanted to talk to you about some things." I tell her. "Hit me with it." She replies. And so I catch her up with everything and I can hear the smile in her voice. "I'm proud of you Hope." I smile and hold back tears. "Thank you aunt Freya. I need to learn more about the bond is there anyway you could help?" I ask. "I'll see what I can find out and I'll give you a call kid. I love you." She tells me. "Love you to" I reply before ending the call and headed towards the shower. My life is never ending madness but I'm starting to love it.
