Hey there, and welcome to Joc Haven. Funny story is, this book is already completed. It's just in need of heavy revision which is why I will be rewriting it as I post. Shouldn't take too long though :)
Please consider dropping me a follow, some votes or comments, and/or adding Joc Haven to your reading lists!

Here are some things you should keep in mind: The male lead, Joc Haven, is easy to hate in the beginning. The term "bad boy" is used loosely in this book and there are reasons for it. And Marley Dawson is an emotional mess who makes horrible decisions, a lot. Long story short, this is a messy and toxic sort of romance.
But the ending is satisfying, and makes the countless heartbreaks worth the read.

HE didn't know what he caused.
BECAUSE
even she didn't want to admit it.
AND there came a point when he realized his mistake.

JOC HAVEN was a name every girl knew and never forgot. For Marley Dawson, it seemed like his name was forever engraved in her mind.

RULES say, "Don't fall for your brother's best friend." But what the rules never specified was whether or not it's okay to let him take your v-card. And when he does, things get a little more messy than a simple stain on the duvet.

MARLEY DAWSON was a normal girl with a below-average social life; someone who shut herself down, locked away her emotions, let herself bleed from the inside out. And she didn't like to point fingers, but it was all because of him. Of what he caused.

THEY also say, "Childhood crushes never die." Which is maybe why she let him take the one thing she valued most: her control, her sanity, herself. Because turns out, she wasn't just a hookup. She was a cheater's mechanism to grilling an excuse as to why he, Joc Haven, the high school's prettyboy and charmer, had a reason to dump his on-and-off, sickeningly toxic girlfriend, Ariel Cope.

AND he already used her once, so that makes it okay to pull Marley into his relationship drama for the second time around, right? WRONG. And Joc notices that when he discovers the cracks in Marley's armor.

SHE gave him the power to hurt her all over again. Yet this time he used it to fix what he broke. The well-known player and heartbreak became Marley Dawson's saving grace. He turned out to be her safe haven.
