Samira was on her way to her father's house to babysit her half-siblings meanwhile her father and stepmother went out for some hours. She was biking down the street, on the early Saturday morning. It was around nine in the morning, and she needed to be there around half past nine.
Her hair was flying in the air as she biked down the street. She had on a pair of jeans shorts and a white crop top and her yellow shoes. She also had in her bag a swimsuit and a jacket if it became chilly. She had a big smile on her face as she biked down the street, almost at her father's house. Getting off her bike she walked up to the door and knocked on it. Soon enough the door swung open for her to see her younger half-sister.
"Samira!" She yelled out and jumped and hugged Samira. Samira laughed and picked her up and hugged her tightly.
"Hey Lily. Do you know why I'm here today?" Samira asked Lily in her arms. Lily quickly nodded and Samira put her down on the floor. Lily ran away and Samira walked inside closing the door after her. Soon she saw her father turning the corner and looked at her. "Hey dad."
"Hey Samira. I'm happy you could make it." He said before his wife and her stepmother came over and gave Samira a hug. Eliza, her stepmother, was almost the same hight and they had a great relationship.
"Hi Samira. I'm so glad you are here. And thank you so much for watching the kids today." Eliza said and pulled away from the hug and gave Samira a big smile.
"No problem, Eliza. I'm happy to see my siblings. It has been a while." Samira said and scratched the back of her neck. Soon around the corner four small children came running and all hugged Samira. "Hi guys."
"I heard that you had become the school president. Congratulations on that Samira." Eliza said with a big smile on her face. Eliza had blue eyes and blonde hair just like Samira and her mother. They all had blue eyes and blonde hair.
"Thank you. You guys should get going. Me and the kids will have fun here at home, right kids?" Samira told her and all the kids nodded to their mother. She smiled and got her bag and Samira's father.
"We will be back around one. So, don't burn down the house kids and listen to your sister." Eliza said before walking out the front door with Samira's father. Samira turned and looked down at the kids.
"So, what do you guys want to do first?" Samira asked her younger siblings. They all wanted to play outside in the front garden. Samira helped them put their shoes on, one after the other ran outside in the garden. After the last one ran out, she walked outside to watch them. Two of them ran and chased each other and the other one sat in the sandbox playing. The last one came over to Samira and asked if she could get his helmet, because he wanted to ride on his bike. Samira nodded and walked inside and got his helmet. She helped him put the helmet on and the young boy, Isaac, thanked her and ran to his small bike.
"Samira, can you help me?" Isaac asked as he tried his best to pedal. She walked over and put her hand on his back to give him a small push. Soon enough he was pedalling down the street, but not far enough from the house. Samira smiled as she saw him bike away from her. She suddenly felt a hand on her shoulder. She turned around quickly to see who it was. She knew the kids were too short to put a hand on her shoulder. So, who could it be?
"Nick! I thought I said you can't scare me like that!" Samira yelled at man now in front of her. He started laughing at her and she rolled her eyes.
"Sis, who is that man?" A little girl asked a hid a little behind her sister. Samira looked down at her sister and picked up the small child.
"Hannah, this is cake face." Samira said with a smirk on her face as she pointed at Nick. "I ones threw a cake in his face. So, his name is now cake face. And Hannah don't throw a cake in someone's face. Because that's not a good thing to do."
"Then why did you throw a cake in his face?" Hannah asked her sister and looked over at the man in front of them.
"He threw something in my head. So, I just did the same to him." Samira said and got an angry stare from Nick. "But Hannah don't do that either, okay?" Hannah nodded and Samira put her down on the ground. And Hannah ran to play with her siblings.
"Cake face, huh?" Nick asked and looked at her. She ended up burst out laughing. "Why, that name of all the names in the world."
"Because it fits you so well, cake face." She told him and burst out laughing again. He hit her in the back of her head. And she quickly stopped laughing and brought up her hand to her head. "Oi! It still hurts! You dumb fu-"
"Hey, don't swear in front of children." He said and covered her mouth with his hand. She rolled her eyes at him and looked over at the children. Nobody had done something dumb yet and that was good.
Nick ended staying a while helping Samira watch her siblings. Meanwhile she made the kids something to eat, Nick played with them. When the kids ate, she and Nick stood talking to each other. They played some more with the children before Nick left for his house and soon Eliza and her father would be home. As soon they came home, Eliza paid Samira and thanked her for watching the kids again. After that she walked outside and got on her bike and went across the street to Nick's house. She knocked on the door and soon enough it opened and behind the door stood Nick. She gave him some of the money she got from Eliza, as a thanks for helping her with the kids.
"Hey, you can keep it all." Nick said and turned down the offer. She shook her head. And he sighed knowing she wouldn't leave before he took it. "So, what are you going to do now?"
"I don't know. Maybe go home or I will go to the beach." She said and thought after what she could do. "And if I go to the beach, I will get ice cream."
"Is there by any chance I can come with you?" Nick asked and scratched the back of his neck awkwardly. Samira nodded and smiled at him. "I will just need to get my wallet. I will be right back."
Samira laughed as he ran somewhere in his house before running back with his wallet in hand. He put it in his short's pocket before walking out the door and closed it. He went to the side of the house and got his bike. Samira got on her bike, and he came up beside her and got on his own. She smiled before pedalling away from him, he soon followed her, and they made their way to the beach. Nick told her about some jokes on their way there and she laughed. At the beach they got their ice creams and talked some more. Before leaving Nick asked for her number, which she gave to him, and he gave his to her. They biked back to his place before they separated, and she went home.
For the rest of the night Nick had a smile on his face that wouldn't leave even once. His mother even asked what he was smiling so much for. But he just shrugged it off and told her he was fine. Already the next day he would be able to see her again.
