Magical Esperance

The World of Shadows

   Darkness... dark and more dark, there are only darkness around and a deadly silence, it's a scary place, it's like the time doesn't ever pass, a world lost that got lost in the shadows for so long that was forgotten even for the time...

   In the middle of nowhere, a girl wake up to see herself in a place she doesn't know.
- Where am... I? Why it's so dark?
   She is confused, and scared, without knowing her own identity, she walks a little inside the place until find a door and after open the door she can see herself in the middle of a destroyed city in the night without any lights, every thing is in ruins and the only light she has is comming from the moon watching from far.
- ...
   Speachless because of the destroyed place the only thing she does is look at herself in the glass of the broken window close to her.
   She has a light pinkish hair with a pink dress full of white details and a big ribbon in the middle in the breast area, small pink heels, white stockings and her hair also has some small twintails in the upper part tied for some accesory she doesn't really know what is, in her waist there is a small wand. She also notice that she is quite small and young, having pinkish eyes and a white skin.
- So... that's... me...?
She says with a soft yet worried voice...
"Esperance..."
- Who? Who said that?
   She start looking around for the voice without notice that the voice came from her own head.
- Esperance... is that my name?
   Without knowing her own name and what to do she starts walking aroud the city in ruins, passing for many broken buildings, the only sound she hear for a long time it's the sound made by her own steps...

   After a while walking she see something moving, but since it's all dark and kinda far she can't see exactly what is.
- HEY wait!
   She shout that to call the attention of the mysterious shadow and it worked, the shadow started to get closer and closer until she noticed that the shadow wasn't a human or an animal but a shadow monster with a black body and red eyes with an assassin looking.
   Scared, the girl, starts to backstep to get far from the monster but the monster started moving faster so she starts to run.
   After running for a while she starts to get tired but the monster is still following her close and when she try to take a look, she stumble in a rock and fall in the ground.
- Noooo!
   Scared she tries to go away from monster without stand up, she is desperate, but didn't work, the shadow monster jump into her and doesn't let she move
- Go away, go away, GO AWAY!
   Saying that while crying she doesn't know what to do, she is scared, she doesn't even know her name, how would she know what is that monster?
- Please... go away...
"Esperance..."
   The voice on her head talked again
- Es...pe...rance...
   While confused about it, her wand started to shine and have a stront light, so strong that the monster jumped away from her.
   She gets the wand in her hands and stand up.
"HOPE PURIFICATION"
   These words come in her head, she doesn't know what it means or what to do, but something inside her says that she need to say that.
   She look back to the monster that seems to recover from the strong light and try to jump again into an attack.
   The girl hold the wand with the two hands and shout:
- MAGICAL HOPE.. PURIFICATIOOOON!
   And with a strong flash of light, a light beam goes in the shadow direction and hit it and the shadow starts to shine in a powerful white and pink light until an explosion of light...
- Thank... you...
   In the middle of the explosion of lights, the girl could see some type of person made of lights, that person said thanks, but the girl doesn't know what happened and it just made her even more confused.
- WAIT!
   She scream hopping the person would answer her any of her questions but as soon as the explosion ended, the lights and the person disappeared.
- What... was that...? What just happened?
   She says that scared while look at where the explosion happened, she move her eyes to her wand when...
("FAST FAST ESPERANCE WE HAVE NO TIME JUST YOU CAN DO THAT"
"BUT... BUT... BUT AND YOU TWO?"
"WE WILL BE FINE WE HAVE TO STAY JUST GO"
"BUT, FANTASY Y-"
"I SAID GOOOOOOOO")
   A flashback came in her head, she was with someone else in a hurry, they were trying to hold something that was trying to enter the room and they wanted to pass for some type of gate, the girl wanted the other one to also go inside, but... she couldn't, someone had to stay and the girl had to go alone.
- Fan...ta...sy...
   After that name comes into her head, she fall and sit in the ground and with a look full of despair and fear she starts crying.
- Why...? Why am I crying? I don't understand, I don't remember anything but... Why when I think of that name it makes me so sad?
   She is really sad and scared and can't do anything aside crying right now... things must be hard for her... If only... If only I could do anything aside watching... sorry Esperance, I can't protect you this time... sorry...
