The cool wind was blowing, and the sound of tree branches following the flow was the 6heard in the distance...

Atsumu and (Y/n) had left the school gates not too long ago.

"I remember ya said ya live pretty far from here. Should I drop ya off at the train station then?" Atsumu offered.

(Y/n) thought carefully, maybe such thinking was needed since it's what casual friends would do. But she didn't want to say the wrong things again.

"I don't see why not? Thank you, by the way.." She looks down at the ground while they walk.

"I thought you stayed until way later, though, Atsumu-San. I was about to leave, in fact." She admits.

The setter puts his hands inside his pockets. "Actually, I think today's volleyball practice was pretty damn good." He smiles. "Got too exhausted and decided to call it a day."

(Y/n) fakes a gasp. "Oh wow, even Atsumu-San gets tired; I thought that was a myth." She jokes while smiling.

He clears his throat. "I recall ya calling me Coach the other day?"

The setter grins. "I should give a class or two about conserving your stamina." He teased back.

"Does it involve spilling paint buckets or forgetting our jackets?" She retorts.

Atsumu jokingly puts a hand over his heart. "Yer so mean (Y/n)-San!" He fake cries

At this, they both laugh.

The atmosphere calms down, and Atsumu begins.

"Y'know, I actually wanted to apologize for something." He makes eye contact with the girl.

She turns to face him, she asks.

"For what?"

"I think it was when we first met. Not in the art room." He continues

"Ya gave me some letter n' I didn't let ya finish yer sentence." He scratches he head, remembering that day Kita was in her classroom rejecting some other girl.

"And if you let me did, we could've avoided that whole situation?" She finished him off with a small laugh.

"Well, aren't ya the smart cookie?" His sarcastic tone went unnoticed.

He looks up at the darkening sky; the orange and yellow hues reflected off his eyes.

Remembering clearly how she looked at him that day.

"Thought ya would hate me after that to be honest." He chuckled.

"I couldn't hate someone over a misunderstanding." (Y/n) ponders.

"Though if I did...I would probably have a group of angry fan girls swarming me." She laughs.

Atsumu groans. So, she acknowledged that he's pretty popular with the female students.

"I promise ya, I won't let that happen. You got Inarizaki's best setter covering ya." The boy grins.

"The one and only." She hums, giving him something to feel good about.

The rest of the walk was silent.

(Y/n) thought back to Akko and the art club. She was too nervous to ask, however.

They were minutes away from the train station, so she decided to hold it off.

But time won't wait for others; there's a deadline before the art club gets shut down.

"Hey Atsumu-San?" (Y/n) grabs a hold of his attention.

"Mhm?" He's not facing her, but he's all ears.

"You know how I'm in the art club -"

"If this is getting me to join -"

"No, it's not." She giggles.

She continues, "The other day, Akko-Senpai told me how the club would be shut down if there weren't enough members."

"But, between her and me, we have no chance at getting the word out. I think flyers are starting to look like a lost cause for us." She fiddles with her fingers.

"Ya need some help then?" Atsumu asks.

"It's like you took the words out of my mouth." She sighs in relief.

"You don't have to, of course. Y-You were actually the first person I thought of when I had this idea.." (Y/n) admitted.

Hearing this, Atsumu's cheeks were a light hue of pink, but it wasn't noticeable.

It's nothing weird, though; she just thought of him. He reminds himself.

But damn did it feel good to hear her say that.

The setter grins. "That's what friends are for." He reminded himself again.

"Do you have anything in mind for me?" He asks.

Something caught (Y/n)'s eyes in the distance.

A couple of kids playing around, looks like they're having fun. She thought.

Maybe if she could get people to have fun, she might just be able to get a few new members.

Suddenly, a light bulb went on in her head.

"I may have one suggestion. I think we would both enjoy it." She smiles.
