Eyes, oh eyes
Doorway to the soul, highway to the heart,
You come in all shapes, sizes, and colours:
Brown, blue, green, hazel, amber and grey.
Eyes, oh eyes,
You pierce deep through this thick layer of agony,
The raging storm in me,
You see beyond what my words convey,
And break me down right when it's unbearable.
Eyes, oh eyes,
Shining lanterns that reassure me,
You see right through my heart,
And give me the strength to fight.
Eyes, oh eyes,
You are the lethal tool that destroys my esteem,
The revolver that shatters my dream,
With the eyes of Argos,
You enslave me in this prison of rose
At the pinnacle of fame to which I arose.
Eyes, oh eyes,
The high, the low,
The good and the bad,
You see through it all,
And never cease to amaze me.
