Letters and envelopes scatter the floors, medical bills, bills that are coming up, and bills that are past due. Milo eventually had to go into the money that was saved for the house to pay some of the past due bills. Some days he couldn't even focus always stressed, some teachers like his English teacher would ask, "If he was, okay? Or if he needed anything? If he was staying with anyone, or who was watching over him?"
Some questions he could respond to, and others, like if he had anyone else that he now resided with, he just shook his head no. Javan would pull him to the side every now and then to ask, how Mimi was doing, or has he been, okay?
He told him what he told Alice that he didn't know. Rubbing his temple he throws an envelope to the side, "I could really use a drink." He tells himself, looking towards the champagne bottle. Mimi never would've allowed it, he pops open the bottle pouring the clear liquid into a glass.
Milo's makes a face of disgust as the liquid touches his tongue. It burns as the liquid travels down his throat. He places the bottle on the cabinet, after fifteen minutes he was feeling the effects of the alcohol.
"Helwo?" Milo answers his phone, now sitting on the couch, the alcohol bottle in his hand, as he constantly sips more and more of the intoxicating substances. A normal person would be wasted, unresponsive to their surroundings, however Milo surprisingly wasn't a light weight.
"Milo? It's me Alice. I was just calling to see if you were alright?" Milo closes his eyes, clenching his jaw. "Yea, I'm just fine," He tells the woman. "Are you drinking?" Alice questions him and in return he gives her a smack of his lips. "Are you the cops are something? Haha, I just had a little sip. Don't arrest me officer!" He says standing up while laughing. This causes him to sort of loose his balance as he falls foward his phone crashes.
"Milo? Milo!" Alice voice becomes disoriented to Milo's ears, as he tries reaching for his phone. "Mimi." He mutters out before everything goes black.
"Milo?!" Alice screams through the phone, buy no response the sound of something crashing scares her. "Mimi." She hears Milo speak, the boy intoxicated, she could tell. As she grabs her belongings, a strong grip cradles her from behind. "Where you going?" The male speaks his bed voice was rough, as he grips her front thighs. "Let go, I have to get back to my family." She tells the stranger, and he smirks, kissing her temple. "Family? You're little boy is here with us, what other Family do you have?" He drags his hands along her gown, but she grabs ahold of them. "I really need to get going," Alice says getting out of the males arms.
He chuckles, his porcelain skin shinning under the dim light of the room. "Alright we'll wait for you," He lays in the bed next to the five-year-old. Alice swallows her spit, "No that's alright," His cool blue eyes peers open once more, to stare at Alice who quickly shuts her mouth. "Fine, just please call me if anything happens?" Alice says as she removes her clothing to change.
The male smirks sending a grunt in response. Alice had no choice but to trust this person, because of the power he held. This person was a threat, but she knew if he wasn't crossed then he would not harm neither her nor her child.
She grabs her keys, looking towards the two one last time before running out the door.
"Hey Milo!" Alice calls out banging on the wooden door. It was around 10:00pm and dark out, but the living room light was on, and music could be heard from the outside. Alice dreaded the thought that something may have happened to the boy. Knowing that Milo wasn't really mentally strong, she worried that he may have done something to himself.
