The Great Prophecy...

Like everything that's great, it must eventually be lost to time.

Except one line that was the only line to have made its way to Asgard...

Whomever possesses great strength and power of knowledge will forever be entwined with Stories.

...

Y/N was thrown into their prison cell which they would eventually call home. They have been accused of murder. The Asgard law states that anyone to have committed murder would be sentenced with high treason and be killed. Odin, seeing potential in Y/N allowed them a life in prison. (They were also like 10 in human years, so if Odin killed them that'd be a big no no).

Y/N looks around and sees an orange barrier separating them with the outside world. (Loki's cell in Thor dark world) They attempted to break out but it was no use. As they punched the barrier a voice was heard,

"They're unbreakable, even with magic. Trust me."

The voice came from a shadowy corner. Y/N squinted to see who it was but just got a faint glimpse of sleek black hair. The sound of someone flipping a page of a book filled the air.

"Now why would I trust you?"

"Because I'm your best solution to freedom."

"Is that so, because you sound not a few years older then me."

"Darling, I'm the God of Mischief." Loki says stepping into the light.

...

"Prince L-Loki, wha-"

Y/N glances around in panic. Seeing one of the crowned Princes in public was not something that happened everyday. Especially when you were just sentenced to life in prison.

"This may come as a shock to you, but you see, I find you quite interesting. Sentenced to life in prison and accused of high treason!" Loki shakes his head. "To be honest that sounds like a fun Friday night, but you must be scared, darling."

"I'm not scared! I was just... surprised! That's all. I mean it's not everyday that someone like me would meet a prince... "

Y/N was in fact surprised. But they definitely were scared too. It had been one heck of a day and they most definitely didn't want anymore surprises. All they wanted was sleep and maybe a magical thing called ✨Food✨. Oh and also not to be talked to by a certain mysterious and suspicious Prince of Asgard. Sure Y/N may sort of like his company, but there was something about that was a little off. Like he was putting on an act of some sort.

"Look, darling, I'm the god of lies. Best not lie to the god of it. Now to business. As I said before, I'm your only chance at freedom because I have a very rare talent."

"Fine, what's this rare talent of yours?" Y/N roles their eyes. Loki is known to be cocky and he just proved it.

"Magic"

Y/N's eye's widen. Magic was pretty rare and even if you were blessed with the gift you could almost never find someone to teach you unless you were of noble or royal blood. Y/N was of course neither so even if they did have magic there would be no way to get proper training. Frigga, the queen of Asgard and Loki's mother, was incredible skilled with magic and even started a school for noble children where she taught magic. It was rumored that Frigga was trying to open it to the public, but the Allfather shot the idea down. It shouldn't have been a surprise that Loki would possess magic to, taking after his mother.

"Oh. But the cell blocks magic. You said it yourself. Not that I'm doubting your talent"

"Well yes, but my magic's more powerful, obviously." Loki quickly glanced away, but Y/N caught it. They started to wonder why Loki even want to get them out of the cell in the first place. Loki said that he found them interesting, but Y/N didn't believe him. He did say that he was the god of Lies so he might of lied. And Y/N was still just exhausted. They just wanted to get this over.

"My prince, I don't understand why you want to help me, but I do understand that you want to. So I guess I'll have to trust you."

"Was that so hard" Loki winked

"Don't make me regret this." Y/N sighed. They did have some faith that it might work, but it was going down by the minute.

"How about this, if my magic doesn't work, which I know it will, then I owe you a favor"

"Well, you just got yourself a deal, my prince." Y/N honestly didn't even know why they even wanted to leave anyway. They didn't have anyone back home. No friends. No family. In fact the only real person that they even remotely liked the company of was the person in front of them. And if he opened the cell where would they go. Most likely right back in the same cell. What the heck. Why not give this a try. What's that harm anyway...

A/N: Welp that was the first chapter. I know kinda short, but anyways...

Any thoughts?
